The place was very clean. Spotless really. However, there was so much merchandise on the floor that I could not actually see the person sitting at the counter. I walked out to see if someone was helping another customer. Walked back in and the person asked if she could help me. She had been there the whole time. She was great, but totally hidden by promotional materials. On that promotional thing, it would have encouraged me to buy more boxes than I did online, so on one hand it's great for the customer, but the obstruction is a problem in my eyes.

I was told I could pay cash when turning in truck in Sarasota. When I tried to do this, I was told cannot do it for one way move. My card was charged. You folks need to get people on same sheet of music.

The staff was very helpful. The service was very streamlined and efficient but the 12 foot trailer we rented was very rusty and beat up. On the bright side I didn't have to worry about making a ding ??

When I spoke to a women from you company about my reservation I was told we could make a payment by phone when I picked up the vehicle. When I got there I was told there were no over the phone payments accepted. My account will be overdrawn because of this.

When I made the reservation I also ordered 2 furniture dollies (the low rectangle ones with the 4 wheels). On the morning of the pick up, I went to pick up the truck, confirmed the dollies, got the key, found the truck on my own, as I was only told the truck number. When I found it, I decided I better look in the back to see if the dollies were put in as I had confirmed and the gal had NOT mentioned that they were already in there or that she would see to it that they got in there before I left. I couldn't get the back rollup door open, so I went back inside to get help. A man came out and said they sometimes stick in cold weather (10/31/19) and he got the door up. I said, "Where are the furniture dollies?!" He said, "The gal should have put them in." I said, "This is great - If I hadn;t decided to check before I left, I would have gotten home and they wouldn't have been there!" He got nasty and just started making excuses and instead of being apologetic and nice, he was snide and argumentative and just kept repeating the same things over and over. He finally said, "When you got home and they weren't there, you could have called us and we would have made arrangements to get them to you or you could come back to get them." I said, "I then would have had to wait for someone to come or add more mileage to the truck!!" This is NOT good customer service! First, I shouldn't have had to check myself to find out if this location had done their job and put the dollies in the truck! They should have discussed how they were already in the truck, or they would put them in and gone with me to the truck, instead of me having to find it myself. Secondly, the staff should be nice, professional, helpful, NOT nasty, snide, and argumentative! Moving day is stressful enough without having uncaring, unhelpful, nasty staff at the U-Haul rental place! I would NOT recommend nor use this location again. Hope you can get better people who do their jobs in a friendly, helpful, customer service way!

There was a bit of an attitude by the customer rep when picking up. When trying to get the truck out of the lot, the driveway was blocked for 5 - 10 minutes by a Volvo car that appeared to be dropping off several children to a woman in a mini van. Very frustrating when I had places to be and a time line to get the vehicle back, fortunately, everything went well and I returned early but that threw me off my start time.

When picking up the truck was givin a hard time stating that I was supposed to pick up the night before (even though I had the confrontation stating that I was there at the correct time). Well using the truck the check engine light came on. And then when dropping the truck off the told me to just drive in to the desiodrop off area and someone would be right out to help me. Did that, waited 20 minutes and no one came out. So went in 3 people in at the desk waiting on one customer waited a few minutes to even be acknowledged. One of the guys said just leave the key on the driver seat. Ok did that. Next morning I get a phone call where is the truck I rented it was supposed to be returned. I told them this same story, his response was oh yeah that was me that told you to leave the keys sorry. Then my bill was $80 dollars more then I was quoted with no reason as to why. Very poor customer service. Won’t use you again. Will let everyone else I know to do the same.

The rep scheduled my reservation unrealistically. I had reserved a 26' truck but they called to advise there wasn't one available. They offered a 20' truck which was ok with me but when I went to pick it up(6pm) I was advised that it had to be returned by 4am. I had indicated I needed the truck for 24 hours when I made the reservation. This isnt fair to me, the employee at the store or the customer that doesn't have a truck available when they arrive. I understand trying to maximize profits but unrealistic scheduling is only going to hinder long term profits.

Gave me a truck for a 20 hr drive to florida with no cruise control and A/C didnt work. Heat from enginge almost have us a heat stroke. Very upset.. was charged for a dolly and never was given 1 .

Overpriced. The large "$19.95" plastered all over your trucks is misleading. For a one day rental staying local cost me almost $70!
