I am currently awaiting a call from the general manager in regard to my experience with this rental. I will briefly describe now, as well. I originally booked my U-Haul for Saturday and Sunday but then realized I only needed it for Sunday. Therefore, I initiated a 'live chat' on the website itself and was reassured that my reservation had been changed to Sunday at 9 AM. I show up to pick my rental up and there was no one there. Fast forward to 10 AM and STILL no one was there to get us in the rental. I called U-Haul at which point they apologized and said that I needed to download an app to do some sort of "self dispatch." Mind you, I didn't sign up for self dispatch and wasn't told anything about it. The change must have occurred when I changed my reservation to Sunday only. I was unable to download the app. The customer service rep said she would give me a $50 credit and that was that. Finally, around 10:30 AM the owner arrives and gives me the keys to the truck. His shop was disgusting. The smell inside was so pungent that we had to walk out. I was not given a contract whatsoever. I had NO idea what the mileage was before I even got in the truck. No walk through was done either. Additionally, the truck was in terrible condition. It was filthy on the inside with dog prints and mud everywhere. Additionally, there was no air conditioner whatsoever and the side view mirror was broken so we couldn't utilize it to help park/steer the vehicle. Absolutely AWFUL experience. I expect a call from someone super soon regarding this. Thank you.

I did the rental online and asked to pick up at a closer location. Well that didn’t happen and when the person called to confirm my order he didn’t tell me that my pick up was at a different location from where I placed it online. I went to the location I picked online and they didn’t have the trailer I needed and told me that I had to drive 20 mins away to get the trailer and then I had to drive back to the same location because that’s where our stuff was in storage. The place I picked up from was like a border house and they didn’t have cash to make change on a brake adapter. She had to get cash from a co worker. Overall a terrible experience picking up and dropping off, that I will explain in the drop off comments

At the time of reservation, I was told that I would have no problems when I went in to pick up the truck. On the pickup day, there was total confusion with the debit card we were using. They said that we had to have the card there but I had explained to them when I made the reservation that my son in Corpus Christi was paying for the truck and I would not have the actual card just the information from the card. My son had called them as well and explained everything. If they would have told us at the time of reservation we could have made different arrangements. So instead of getting the truck that morning, we were delayed 3 hours which put our plans late. I was very disappointed in the service we received at this location even after the card problem was solved it took him another hour to get everything put in and get us on our way. I also felt that the size of the truck was not explained clearly. I had reserved a 15 foot thinking that the back packing area would be 15 foot it was never explained that 15 foot included from the front bumper of the truck so I didn't have room in the truck for all my things and had to leave some behind. If I ever have need for moving truck again I will look for another company.

Honestly, AAA+ service. Office was just total shock. It's a used car lot, OK. Walk through the door, WOW stacked up with old dirty junk with just a walk path to an old desk area.

I DID NOT RENT A UHAUL TRUCK OR ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS ON THOSE DATES NOR DID I GIVE MY AUTHORIZATION FOR ANYONE TO RENT A TRUCK FROM YOU IN MY NAME.. I will be reporting you to the better business Bureau in addition to disputing the 8 plus separate charges you charged to my name, account and drivers license.. I’ve called your establishment 4 times to clear this matter up and each time you have an excuse as to why you can’t get into your Computer.. I WOULDN’T ADVISE ANYONE TO GIVE THIS LOCATION YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION *** EVERYONE SHOULD BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT BUSINESS PRACTICES**

The owner of this place tried 3 times to run my credit card for an amount that was being disputed. The amount was different every time. The 3 times were never authorized and were not with my knowledge of happening. He's a fraud. Be very careful!!!

Gave away my "Reserved" truck making me a day late. The replacement truck a/c did not work, so from was put in. I went home and loaded the truck and you guessed it- no a/c! I could not wait for someone to come fix it, so I headed out for a fifteen hour drive, in August, in the south, need more be said? Never again.

The Uhaul was parked in the parking lot of a strip/night club. It was difficult to distinguish what building to enter in order to pick up the keys.

The original location I had reserved the Uhaul did not have it. So I had to drive 30 minutes to the next place. So very frustrating in 5 o clock traffic.

Tow dolly lights not working on 1 side. I will check myself the next time. My credit card was charged before I signed the contract and there were errors on it. Had to redo contract and thank heavens I had another card to use because charges are not immediately reversed.
