My reservation was originally for Lee's Summit, but received a phone call requesting I change to Pleasant Hill for discounted mileage. When arriving at Waters Hardware, no one knew anything about the reservation or how to do it. I had to wait over 30 minutes while someone walked an employee through how to do the reservation. During that time, I was charged the $30 insurance versus the $15 one that I originally signed up for online. There was also a miscellaneous rental charge of $39.90. I feel prices were misleading.

The system wasn't running well. I had difficulty with the app and the wifi of the location. I had to step outside multiple times in order to get signal in order to use the app. When I had to take photos before driving off with the truck, the website would not work to take the photos. I ended up having to run back inside and customer service had to call the manager in order to give me the okay to drive off without taking a photo of the truck. It had taken almost 45 minutes for me to be able to leave with the truck. I do understand that this is a new location for U-Haul, but it had way too many snags along the process. Connor was really friendly and prompt with helping me though. I would come back solely because he took care of me.
Kristoffer INobody on site knew where to drop the trailer or how to complete the rental transaction. I was told to get online with U-Haul and figure it out. Luckily U-Haul online walked me through the process.
Bradley SWhen I made the reservation it was for 10am pickup at pleasant hill and drop off in independence for a 15ft truck. I got a call 2 days before saying that they could do a 20ft truck pickup in raymore at 11 which is not even close to my reservation. So I called back and you said that I couldn’t do a pick up and drop off but instead i have to drive back to pleasant hill to also drop off which costed more in miles. When I got to water hardware to pickup, no one there knew how to do uhaul rentals, so I had to call uhaul and wait until 11:20ish to get the truck. When I was all done and filled it up with gas to where it was, I was charged 2 gallons of fuel. It wasn’t the cost that make me upset, but the fact I took a photo of the miles and gas before and after returning it to make sure that wouldn’t happen is just disappointing… do better
