The truck was not of the usual high quality I have come to expect form U-Haul. It had 125,000+ miles and ready to be retired. The transmission was very difficult to get into reverse gear. The front end shimmied wildly and was difficult to keep on the road. While the staff were very pleasant, the truck was terrible. Fortunately I only had a 12 mile move.

I was very pleased with the customer service received from Jordan. Also, I observed his interaction with other customers. Likewise, I was very impressed. It is unfortunate good customer service is lacking at many retail/service establishments. Perhaps that is why the customer service provided by Jordan was outstanding.

No wonder this area has a higher incident rate of covid. The only employees wearing masks wore them beneath their nose. Several customers came into the service center unmasked and were not asked to wear a mask. Making sure to leave reviews elsewhere as you clearly don't prioritize safety.

They tried to double charge me. When showing them the proof that we only drove 50 miles not 100, the young lady took offense and became rude!
Online price was 69 cents a mile. I was charged 89 cents. When i brought this to attention of counterperson they basically said â€˜too bad/we're not honoring online price'.
I visited the U-Haul location at 6141 Lancaster Ave., in Phila Pa, to rent a 9' cargo van. When arriving, my brother and I, giving respect to the social distancing markers located on the floor, we waited to be called to the desk by the attendant. Once called, as we were next in line, the attendant asked how can she help us, which we replied â€œWe reserved a cargo van.â€ The attendant immediately responded that â€œyou will have to wait, I am handling another customer,â€ at which time a gentlemen stepped in front of us to his business. Now, my brother and look at each saying: why did she call us to the front and ask how could she she help us if she was not prepared to help at that time. My brother and I also noticed that she did the same thing to another customer whom came in behind us while we were waiting in line. The attendant appeared to be preoccupied with showing everyone that she was important, but failed to provide customer service. I write this because, once we were called again to her desk, she requested information from us (i.e., license, name, phone number), which we provided. Then she typed something in the computer and asked the same information again as if she were asking it for the first time. Our poor experience didn't stop there. Upon completing all that necessary business with the attendant inside, she instructed to see the woman outside for the key to the cargo van. Upon reaching the woman attendant outside whom was sitting in a cargo van, she waited about 10-15 seconds to ask us how can she help us. I indicated to the outside attendant that the inside attendant asked for us to see you about our reserved cargo van. The attendant asked to see paperwork, which I showed her. She then indicated that the van she was in, was not our van and began to point to a van several feel away. She provided us with the key and we proceeded to the location where several cargo vans were parked. The problem here is: the outside attendant was suppose to take us to the van that we reserved since it was parked amongst a number of other vans. Nonetheless, upon completing the business with the van for the night, the loading and unloading, we returned the van to the location, which was after hours. My brother and I followed the instruction from the â€œinsideâ€ attendant that we met with earlier in the day, which was to go to the U-Haul website and scroll all the way to the bottom and click a button indicating that we were finish with the truck. Now, of course it was not that simple. Without going into details, which is exhausting, let me just say that we arrived back at the drop off location, which is the same as the above pick up location, at approximately 10:10pm, but had such a difficult time attempting to navigate our way through the poor instruction that the attendant gave us, that we didn't complete everything until 10:47pm. Poor experience!!!
