It was perfect. Scott was very personable and extremely accomodating. Hookup was quick and easy and so was the sign up. Was on my way in 15 minutes.
My only issue is with the reservation process. The folks at Stokely lumber were great. The issue I have is where I had to pick up the equipment. It was way out of my way. It would be less of a shock if I knew it was even a possibility to go that far to pick up the equipment. I FULLY understand how the process works and the location is not guaranteed but the options presented to me when reserving don't mention a maximum distance, that is determined fully by Uhaul. We disagree on how far is convenient. I made it work of course because I had little choice but if I could have found equipment from a competitor I would have cancelled. Not likely to find anything with one day notice on the last day of the month. I reserved my equipment weeks ahead of time and understood my preferred location may not be where I picked up my equipment but it was much farther out than I anticipated. I didn't plan for that much time - 2 hours back and forth, to retrieve equipment. I likely will not rent from uhaul anytime soon due to how this is handled and because of the stage of life I'm in...three kids on college...we rent a uhaul some 6-8 times a year... Thanks.

Reserved a 15 ft. uhaul for Sat. The 10th. 2 days later received a call saying only 10 ft available. They gave me a few free miles to try to make it right. They were to contact me Monday to tell me if it was more than just the estimated 19.98. I called Monday no answer. Left message no call back. Called Tuesday, it's $45.?? When asked why cause i should pf had 40 free miles not 30 given by Stokleys. He said he finalized the rental. He couldn't refund money. I would have to go through Uhaul to get my money back. 515-423-5236 Tammy Vanderpool. Had returned the uhaul by 1pm Saturday same day rented.
The trailer pulled great and did everything I expected. I would definitely recommend this to friends.
Have an assistant to help turn in equipment somebody on call on locations to turn in.
The only thing we thought it was hard to find, not enough sings but they were very kind.
The passenger seat belt latch did not work. Everything else worked very well. Good Job. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Excellent people!
I had to make 3 different reservations to get the vehicle I needed. I was told it would be in one location on the day I needed it. I reserved 10+ days in advance. Less than 24 hours before I'm moving I get a phone call saying the vehicle I needed wasn't available at any location within 50 miles. The only one available was smaller, and nearly an hour away in the opposite direction. I made a different reservation in the town I was moving to, and wasn't compensated for fuel (now it was a two way trip). Not only that, but that reservation was the incorrect vehicle so I had to drive 30 miles to this location to pick up. All of this was handled via uhaul customer service. The people at the location were very good.
Not locations fault probably but hookup for lights wasn't up to date. We were able to purchase attachment to make it work butcwas annoying especially after we'd called UHaul to verify connections would work ahead of time!
My account was charged for the rental fee as well as a "hold" placed on the account for the same amount which has yet to be released. It has been 4 weeks now...
Drop off location was changed due to other locations being full. Was charged and paid for equipment that was not there. Was billed for extra miles due to the change of the drop off location.
I was overcharged, the charge was suppose to be 123? And all weekend more money was being deducted, I was not at all made aware of the additional charges, and that was all the money I had. I took excellent care of the uhaul washed returned full. I was just not informed or understand why all the extra charges. I left an abusive situation, we were homeless, not to share my private experience but I tried so hard to stay strong and have gotten a new safe home, and this extra cost was just like another kick in the gut.
no one was in the office when I first arrived. It didn't take long after they showed up.
Nothing wrong with the people or equipment at the pickup location but it was an hour away from us so 2 hours driving to pick it up on our moving day. And we only needed it for a single 1.5 mile move.
It took the employee 30 minutes to check us in and we were in a hurry, so that was very irritating!
