I was pumping gas and asked the person processing my return to let me know if the gas level was ok- even showing him my diagram that was given to me. My friend was there to witness, and he still charged me the gas surcharge for not filling it up. I would have put move in- I WAS AT THE PUMP!!!!! That is a total scam again. Another practice of U-Haul that is deceitful!! I will never tell someone to use U-Haul.

Absolutely terrible experience. I scheduled for a truck pickup and when I got to the location there was no truck. I was then sent to a uhaul location 20 miles from my home. When I got there it took forever for the guy to get me the truck. I had ordered 24 blankets and two dollies. They only had 10 blankets and one dollie. He picked up the dirty blankets from the floor and loaded them into the truck. Fast forward to today, I attempted to return the truck tonight. The guy was extremely rude to us. He charged my credit card for 24 blankets and two dollies which he had confirmed with his brother that we did not have. This is theft! He insisted that I fuel the truck, which I should add was at a half tank when I rented it. He yelled at me to give him the key, then he handed it back to me to fuel the truck. While I was in the process of fueling it, he told me to turn it on so that I could check the fuel level. That action alone is highly unsafe and downright dangerous! My friend alerted the guy when I had put in $15.00 of fuel and the needle reading on the tank did not move at all. When the fuel cost was at 24.00, I stopped the pump because again the fuel level was not changing. When we left it sit for a few minutes it finally registered the fuel that I put in. The guy was so quick to jump into the truck my friend had to yell to alert him that the nozzle was still attached to the truck. I jumped to remove the nozzle from the truck as the guy started to move the truck. He parked the truck and the lights were still on. I alerted him of the lights and He returned to the truck to turn them off. Then he proceeded to argue with me and my friend regarding the charges. I informed him that I was calling Uhaul directly. He then continued to argue with my friend, called his brother and spoke in a language that was not English. My friend requested his name and he refused to provide it. She also requested a receipt for the charges and again he refused and informed her I could obtain it online. I spoke with a Uhaul rep on the phone and she advised me to obtain his name which he reluctantly provided. He handed us the receipt showing the items that they did not have available. I will never use this location ever! The truck was dirty with cigarette ashes and the blankets were filthy. As of this review, I have left a message for the area manager with no return call!

I originally reserved a 17 foot U-Haul truck from Kelly's Automotive in Limerick, PA but was bumped to a 20 foot truck for some reason. That was the start of the problem. A day before my pickup date I received a text that my reservation was bumped to another location because Kelly's Automotive would not answer their phone on Saturday to confirm the appointment. Apparently the scheduling manager for U-Haul had called all morning to confirm the reservation and could not get an answer. So I got bumped again to now another location and to a ridiculous 26 foot truck which was incredibly too large for my needs. On my reservation day I go to pick up this titanic sized beast of a 26 foot truck at the location I received a text message to go to, I arrive at the location to find out that my reservation was reassigned again back to Kelly's Automotive. What the hell. Apparently they were supposed to send me a text and an email to change it but incompetence strikes again and they never did. I had to call the customer service line again and they moved my reservation back to US Gas for the 26 foot truck since I was already there standing in the gas station waiting to pick up my truck. After getting the key to to this giant truck, I open the back of the truck to discover that apparently the truck had previous served as a seafood market. The truck STUNK like old crab. I can only theorize that the previous renter had bought an entire seafood market and moved it cross country. It was terrible. I wanted to vomit. And, to add icing to the the terrible seafood cake, the cab of the truck stunk like cat pee. I have no idea what the prior renter had done with this truck, but it was borderline criminal. I am done with U-Haul. There is zero chance I ever rent a truck from U-Haul again. This organization is terribly mismanaged and has more incompetence than the Russian government.

I used the truckshare 24/7 program to pick up and it was a DISASTER!! The app told me to go to the counter and get the key from the store clerk, but he refused to give me a key. I had to call uhaul customer service and sat on hold for a half hour before anyone answered, just to be transferred and put on hold again for another half hour. The clerk didn’t understand how the truckshare program worked and caused my family over an hour’s worth of delay and aggravation. Will never go back here or recommend it to anyone!

I was concerned about this pick up after reading reviews for this location, but there were no big problems. He could not print a receipt so took a picture of the screen with my camera - slightly slowed down process -computer issues- I had gone early to make sure that my paid helper was not twiddling his thumbs for an hour.

I wouldn’t recommend uhaul in general to anyone. In fact I’m considering going on Facebook and letting 600 of my closest friends know how poor of an experience this was. First, I reserved a 15’ truck to be picked up at the furniture store in Pennsburg, Pa. Then I get an email the night before I’m supposed to move telling me my truck I reserved would be ready for pick up in perkasie, pa. That was completely out of the question so instead they found me a truck at this location which is 8 miles further then the location in pennsburg where I reserved the truck. Long and short of it is I paid for an extra 16 miles that I shouldn’t have had to pay for and I’m not happy about it. Not to mention my valuable time that was wasted aswell. I would hope someone from uhaul could make this situation right but the lady I spoke with on the phone Thursday evening said she couldn’t do anything for me...

Van had some problems - the trailer towing mode was stuck on, indeed, the knob at the end of the sifter actually fell off! Steering wheel was crooked and there was a pull to the steering. Otherwise, OK

1-Location was changed without informing me . 2-I had to trace extra and pay more for far location and extra rate per mile. 3-I had a coupon sent by U-Haul but was not able to apply it to my contract no. Called U-Haul customer care , lodged a ticket but it’s been 2 days no response from U-Haul . Really disappointed with the experience would not recommend U-Haul to anyone .

Thankfully the lady called back to the scheduling and found me another truck, 15-20 miles away and out of my area. I called back and they wouldn’t even credit or adjust the bill. My U-Haul experience was absolutely the most pathetic renting experience of my entire life. I picked up the truck at U.S. Gas in Perkiomenville and it took over an hour just to get the paperwork done. They did not have the 2 furniture dolleys in that I had reserved. I asked the clerk if he could call and see if another location had the dolleys available. He told me he called and checked with the location in Harleysville and they had them and knew we were stopping over. We arrived there and were told that no one from U.S. Gas had called them. I was also invoiced 3 different times while at U.S. Gas. One invoice was for the original order and the clerk then issued a credit and was going to rebill me the correct price but then billed me the original price again because he didn’t know how to take off the dolleys. Returning the U-Haul was an issue too because off the mess the clerk at U.S. Gas made. I must also note that I only received email copies of the original invoice, a credit invoice for $16 dollars and change, and a corrected invoice without the dolleys. I never received an email for the credit of my original bill that was around $135. I have no idea how all of this will appear on my billing but this whole process was a complete nightmare. I would never recommend using U-Haul to anyone after this horrendous experience of dealing with terrible customer service and incompetent people that simply do not give a damn about the customer.
