The equipment/ trailer was clean and sound. U haul's scheduling was extremely unprofessional. I was scheduled with the nearest location only to be informed that they did not have the trailer available. The email I received listed four location with the trailer, however, three of them did not have the trailer available. We were sent running around to find the only one in the area. A waist of time and inconvenience.

Customer service on return was extremely poor. I am a local fireman and had to work on return date an no other option was left but to let my girlfriend return the trailer. The person receiving the return refused to let her return trailer without backing up the trailer. She was not confident and was stuck for a long time due to this rude and unhelpful employee. Very dissatisfied and will not use again. Coworkers in the area from the fire dept had to assist her with the backup and return.

Turned in trailer on Friday. They were busy he said he would process later. Called Saturday 3 times and no answer. Get a receipt today for an extra day and called 3 times still no answer. I actually think they committed a crime.

I reserved online and it gave me the option to deny the safemove coverage. Yet when I went to pick up the van, they forced me to pay it. I was given the number of Mr. Jonathan Barr-Smith, as I was told by the storage company (Shalimar Storage & Uhaul on Panama City Beach, FL) that he was the one who made it a requirement. Now, if it was stated that it was a requirement during reserving online... sure. But I denied it as I was given the option to and being forced to pay it just because the "vans where new" IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Just because Mr. Barr-Smitt is in charge of managing Uhauls in the area does not give him the right to change anything he deems fit without informing the customers before they reserve a vehicle.

I'm upset that I try tell the clerk that where we had to go east side calloway. To the persons house was long driveway and there was water up to 3 feet high and if we put the furniture we would've been stuck and I was more concerned about your u haul than getting damaged I have a video of proof and I felt.that was unfair we didnt get to use it and we put gas back in the way we got it and she was charging me 94 cent mile a gallon. I will.never go back to that uhual again. From all this now we're we use our last money for food. Did you know hurricaine Michael has impacted alot.of.areas Lucky mybfriend had a pick up truck and it did better than the uhual did. U-Haul really needs to upgrade their computer systems, because the system crashed while the employee was completing my reservation, as well as those in front of me. Then when returning the truck at the U-Haul 3 states away, the employee had the same issues. I would like to praise all of the U-Haul employees I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful, despite being woefully understaffed.

On Nov4 The cargo trailer I rented from Shalimar starage in Panama City Beach (after a 45 minute wait in line) was blocked in thus I had to walk back to receive a different trailer (with a different identifier). The lady working the desk apparently never updated the new number in Their system. I returned it the next day 30 min prior to closing but their office was closed. A man who identified himself as an employee was parking a uhaul truck and car trailer assisted me in backing my trailer up and removing from my truck. As I was leaving I recalled telling the man that the appliance dolly I rented was still in the back of the truck. He stated he would check them in (the cargo trailer and dolly). Nearly 2 weeks later on the 16th I get a phone call from a guy who works at This Shalimar Uhaul demanding to know where the Dolly is. He had a bit of a shitty attitude about it and I did not respond well to it. Needless to say I ended up contacting 1800 uhaul. Was on the phone with someone for 10 minutes who I suspected didn’t want to deal with this pissed off customer being accused of stealing an appliance dolly. (She ended up disconnecting with while on hold to clarify my charges). I did learn that the employees at this UHAUL never checked the trailer!! I ended up calling the 1800 uhaul number back and received help from a lady this time who saw my call through completion. Ultimately they couldn’t tell me what the exact charges where for (should of been $42) as I was being charged over $250 !! I suspect the dolly was still in the back of which ever uhaul they gave me. End of the day I was only charged for the one day since they clearly didn’t do their job On either the front or back end. I have previously rented from This same Uhaul company a couple weeks prior with my only complaint being they were very busy, the lines were long with victims of Hurricane Micheal renting moving trucks. It took along time for service (but everything seems to take a long time since the hurricane). The same lady checked me out then. She seems proficient but very much multitasking. I have also spent $1000 with uhaul over the summer with a cross county rental. Very irritated how I was talked to and had to defend my self of being accused of not returning equipment. I will drive past this location the next time I need to rent a moving truck or trailer.

When I booked the auto transport I booked it to pick up at the 15 St location in Panama City Fl, upon arrival I was told it was not that location but at a location on Panama City Pky, Panama City Beach which was way at the west end of Panama City Beach, this was a very time consuming and a real inconvience, the guy I talked to at the 15th street location was not very helpful, he said he felt really out of it today and I believe he was.

I had several issues with this location. Here is an abbreviated list: 1. My reservation was for 1pm. I arrived at 1:10. There was a sign on the door that said she was away. I called the number on the sign. No answer. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting. I ended up banging on the door and someone came to the door. 2. I reserved a 20' truck. I reserved a 20' truck for a reason. Where I was going barely accommodates a 26' truck and yet, that's all that was available. Also, the fuel was considerably more expensive due to the poor mileage of a 26' truck. I did not want to drive a 26' truck in the city. It was overkill but that's what I was stuck with. 3. When she pulled the truck around, it was still dirty in the back. She had to sweep sand out of it, which took even longer. 4. I inspected the truck exterior and Uhaul uses small stickers with and "x" to indicate previous damage. There were several gouges and scratches on the truck that didn't have any stickers. She said they were new. If I hadn't inspected the exterior, I would've been blamed for it. 5. The paperwork said the truck had 1/4 tank of gas. When I started the truck, it only had 1/8 of a tank in it. The 26' truck has a huge gas tank and refilling it to 1/4 would've cost a lot more since it was already so low. The worker didn't confirm the fuel level. Again, it was up to me to protect myself from Uhaul. 6. There were 3 available parking spots at the place of pickup but she said since they had limited parking, I should have been dropped off. So I had to drive my car across a 4 lane highway, park it in a hotel parking lot, then walk back across a 4 lane highway to get the truck so my car wouldn't be taking up space. That would've been nice to know before I arrived so I could've taken an uber to the pickup location. Horrible experience and I should demand a refund.

First reservation location didn't have our truck. Second location charged more for smaller 15' truck with 3/4 gas and wasn't clean. They they charge us $53 more after the fact for cleaning. What a rip off! Price gouging at its finest.

Not complaining but you should put some help to the person in that store. The day I rented the truck the poor lady in charge was very professional and amazingly multitasking but it was too busy (crazy) for one person in charge.

Customer service was awesome! On what was a very hectic time after the hurricane, the lady taking care of customers did an excellent job trying to accommodate people as best she could. The way she took the time to personally take care of each person made a difficult time a little more bearable! Because of her, I would be willing to pay the extra mileage cost just for her service!!! Thanks
