The only issue I had was adjusting the seat to a more forward position. The mechanism was probably abused by a previous customer (I've had a few positions in field service; it's amazing what people can do to a perfectly innocent machine). Other than that, it was as easy as it could possibly be.

B&N Automotive - Victor: He gave our reserved truck to someone else then lied about it, then sent us to another Uhaul place that doesn't even have pick-up trucks. He KNEW that the Uhaul on Bethel Island (Anchor Marina) does NOT have pick-ups - but sent us there anyway.

Upgrade the location office. They always seem small, drafty, dingy, and using office equipment that looks like it is ready to fall apart if you look at it wrong. Make phone or on-line payment available. I was picking up a vehicle that somebody else was paying for. But I ended up having to pay (which I cannot afford) and then get reimbursed. In this day-in-age, on-line payment should be easy enough. And you still have as much information on the person picking the vehicle up as you would anyway.

The owner stayed an extra 10 minutes for me to come pick up a truck because he had a cancellation and clearly stated that he closed at 12 but because of the cancellation would allow me to pick up a truck. Unfortunately once I reserved the truck he did not go over the vehicle with me at all he quickly went through the paperwork handed me the keys and said you're good to go. When I got into the truck I noticed right away that the interior was dirty and the dirt kicked on the windshield was so sick I had to wash it off. When I went to set the front seat the seat was jammed and I could not reach any of the pedals. I went back to the office and the owner was already gone. Fortunately a mechanic next door spent about 30 minutes helping to unjam the front seat so I could drive the truck. Once I was situated I had to set the mirrors and could not see anything behind me. Both the driver side and the passenger side mirrors were jammed. We tried to move them and could not. In my opinion these things should have and always have in the past two other U-Haul companies been a priority for the owner when I rented the truck as he should have come out to the vehicle with me to go over everything. Again I went to the mechanic next door and he unjamed the mirrors by using his full body weight to move the mirrors into the correct position. Now that I'm finally situated to take the vehicle I look down at the gas gauge and noticed a vehicle is not full and was a little over three-quarters of a tank. On my contract the owner clearly put that the gas was over the full Mark. I took a picture of the gas gauge to show the owner when I brought the vehicle back. In returning the vehicle I spoke with the owner who would only tell me his name was Ben. When I asked him for his last name he refused to give it to me. I let him know about the gas about the seat about the windshield about the mirrors and said I feel that I should at least get some type of a discount because my vehicle was not ready for a customer. He already stated the vehicle was ready for someone else and then they cancelled and he called and offered me the opportunity to rent the vehicle. When I let him know how I felt there was no apology has customer service the entire process when I picked up the van when I dropped it off with very dry and unfriendly. When I let him know that I was going to report the incident to customer service he told me that next time he would not stay late for me.

Good service and product. My only problem was that I did not get the location I chose on your website -- I got one several miles further away. I received an email confirmation for my desired location, but received another confirmation the next day with the further-away location. I made two phone calls and was told that the location would be corrected, but it never was.
