The location was great and so was the person helping me. The problem I had was with u-haul. I reserved it a week out and on the Saturday evening (2 days before move), I received a call and e-mail stating my reservation was cancelled due to not having a one-way truck. I called and managed to get an in town, but the mileage ended up costing me way more. If you have to cancel, give more notice. I was put into a bad situation and ended up having to pay over $300 for one day of use. This is not fair and I would like some kind of reparation or credit. Please contact me via e-mail or call.

I returned the rented trailer on Saturday. The rental facility was closed. When I went to-the Uhaul site app to take a photograph of the trailer return the app would not acknowledge my email, phone # or contract #.. It repeatedly said my phone tracking option was off when it was on. Several other people attempting to return equipment were having the same problem. After more than an hour attempting to call the Uhauls customer service # with no response I left the trailer after taking photos for my benefit. The lack of customer service was extremely disappointing. I felt very uncomfortable until I was able to contact the shop Monday morning.

Everything went great using the app and the personnel at the location was helpful the only problem I had was I kept losing connection while trying to use the app on my phone and it wouldn't refresh no sure if it's a software issue or my connection.

The man there was efficient and knowledgeable. When returning my rental, he ran out to meet me and disconnected the trailer and moved it away from my truck before i could even get out of the cab.

This is a great place to rent a U-haul. Ben, the proprietor, is very nice and very helpful. In previous years, we had rented utility trailers from two other places, and their prices were MUCH higher than B & N Automotive. Ben doesn't gouge you like those other places. I know where I'm going from now on, hands down, B&N Automotive.;-)

I appreciate the quick in and quick out customer service, but I know some people that require a cleaner yard and consumer chit chat, not sure if rental service sees a benefit to this methodology but for me, this was a perfect experience.

I was badly let down by the Merced U-Haul on G Street. They put me down for a return to Merced instead of an Oakley drop off on Thursday. Then didn't have my closed trailer. Then didn't have any trailer. Lastly had no trucks for my second order for Saturday, which they told me would not be a problem. The 800 number was not much help either. However Ben at Oakley U-Haul got me an open trailer quickly, helped me get it working (my first tow), and was prepared to get me a truck on Monday. I am not impressed easily, but I am highly impressed by Ben. I will never return to the G Street U-Haul and will tell everyone to avoid it! It should have a yelp rating of 0.

Nothing, The owner was perfect. He was very polite. He guided me to back up the trailer. He connected the trailer to my truck. When I returned he again guided me and unhooked the trailer and thanked me. He was perfect. At other u-haul locations I have rented -the person would not even get out from behind their desk. They just wanted to collect their money and get rid of me. I will come back to this location anytime I need to rent in the future and will recommend him. Ronald Garcia

Terrible communication with overall uhaul, not just this location. Uhaul needs a better system to be able to tell other places if there is or is not a trailer.. I had one confirmed thursday monring, then by the afternoon I was called and told that it wasnt there anymore? BS

It's absolutely right that Uhaul advertises 19.99 truck rentals and when all “fees” are paid my bill was over 60$ Then, a refrigerator dolly for 45 minutes was 10$. Very unfair pricing.

This review is unrelated to the store itself - who was full of kind people just doing their best. But rather a rating for the reservation department. I had a truly awful experience working with you for our move this last weekend. We had to drive to two different Uhaul locations hours outside of SF on the DAY of our move to get a truck. I was told the closest location for the truck we reserved was Sebastapol (1 hour north of SF). We even called the morning of to confirm the truck would be ready before I left. Your team confirmed it would be ready. I get to Sebastopol and the truck reserved for us was still in LA with the previous renter. That could have easily been checked with a simple phone call to the prior renter before sending us an hour away for a truck that wasn't even remotely near the vicinity. We then had to call the Reservations line and they told us if we could manage a 10 ft truck there was one in Oakland. (Again about 1 hour back the way we just came). I said fine, we'll take it. 5 mins later reservations called us back and apologized that one was now taken. The next closest location was in Oakley (1.5 hours east from where we were in Sebastopol). Given that we had zero other options, we sucked it up and drove to pick it up. Then we drove BACK to SF, where we had to pack up the track and drive 8 hours to SoCal. I am requesting a full refund for the major inconvenience you caused on our move day. We used gas and mileage in our personal vehicles to drive 55 miles from SF to Sebastopol, then 78 miles from Sebastopol to Oakley, then 51 miles from Oakley back to SF. I understand Uhaul experienced a truck shortage due to the number of people moving out of SF. But I've never had such a terrible customer experience and I would like a fair reimbursement due to the additional time, money, and effort it took on our move-in day. I would greatly appreciate your understanding and goodwill to make this right. Thanks, Kristen
