Smooth and easy!
Attendant was a total jerk. He acted like you were imposing on him. He had an attitude and was rude.
It was so easy. Nothing needs to be changed with process since a u-haul rep greeted me and processed the truck.
Truck had 90 K miles on it- it is getting a bit used up
Told me a price for how much it would be, i ended up returning it early and somehow the cost doubled.. Not happy!!!
When we dropped off the truck. The person who checked it was not wearing and uhaul related clothes. Some guy is basketball attire. He was rushing and not very communicative. I tried to talk to him about the truck and he did not want to talk back.
Austin was terrific. He was extremely patient and professional while solely dealing with multiple customers with varying issues. Without someone like him, working by himself, I would expect that my experience would have been much different and my rating would have been much lower.

The ac did not work and there was no windshield washer to wash the windows. It shake at 60. Besides that everything else went ok

Our experience on the whole, was very good, the only issue I had was on the day of pick-up, I called ahead to ask a question and was told I didn't have a reservation in the system. I had reserved a truck a week ahead and received a confirmation email, so I was a bit surprised. In the end it didn't matter, there were plenty of available vehicles, but I didn't know that at the time. Moving in the current situation was stressful enough, I didn't need to worry that we wouldn't have a truck.

Reserved a pickup truck; the only one left on site had a dead battery. I will say that the employee was very apologetic and professional and was able to set me up with an alternate vehicle which was fine. Not a big fan of having to open a text and go around and take photos of all the existing damage myself. Seems like too much responsibility for cataloging the condition of your vehicles is being placed on the customer. But again, the employee on site was very nice.
I was never able to get through to this location on the phone to discuss my reservation, but staff were helpful in person.

Bad experience over all. First the cell phone check in that was supposed to save me time didn't work after trying several times. And then the attendant in the office -- who wasn't wearing a mask -- was surly, rude and unhelpful. Go somewhere else.
Hire an honest general manager, on 6/15/2020 the gm Austin gave me a pick up and trailer the pick up had a cracked driver window when I rolled it up about 20 minutes into my drive, thinking nothing of it as the gm did the walk around and said I was all set to leave giving me the truck with the windows down.. might I add this is the only time I've ever received a truck 90 degrees out or not with down windows. Upon return about an hour and a half later I stated to the employee that the window was busted. I was charged for this window over 600$ on top of my rental fees. I put in a claim with c.s on my behalf and had a follow up call with Austin today 6/16/2020. On the phone he was talking over me, being very rude and short toned and stating he wouldn't let a truck go out like that however when I asked to see and have him the review the walk around photos he took that he claims the windows were up for, I was told 3 times that he wasn't continuing my call and completely avoided the pictures as if hes trying to get rid of them. Mind you we are on a recorded call. I will be contacting the uppers of u haul on this as I feel not only am I being wrongfully charged but blamed for the sake of his job. Both locations I stopped at uhaul, and pick up were surrounded by security cams seeing me pull in with both windows down. Again when I asked 3 separate times to review and be sent the photos of the truck I was ignored and basically told to fuck myself. If the gm is on site when you plan to use uhaul Northampton I would recommend just going elsewhere as I've seem many people review and name this specific general manager for this kind of thing within just the past two months.
Manager was a bit cranky when I picked up and dropped off. Must have been having a bad day (we all do) but could have kept it to himself and been more professional. Overall experience was good. Van was well maintained and the online checkin/out system was a good experience.
Small mixup in blanket number as computer showed more blankets than we rented. Employee addressed.

When I arrived to pick up my vehicle there was no one there. I had to call the 800 number and was there for an hour before I got the vehicle. The employee who finally arrived was polite and helpful, but I would not recommend this location and don't intend to do business there again.

The employees were rude and unprofessional. Especially to another woman in the store because neither of them knew how to process her return item. They pretty much told her "too bad" then one of them was swearing about it after she left, and I was still at the counter. We did not do a walk around of the vehicle and the mileage was not explained to me. The vehicle smelled horrendous. Please train your staff, get them an onsite manager, or just hire new people because they were awful.
