Was given a muddy truck that I had to walk thru a field of knee high weeds to find on my own. Didn't do a walk thru to see if all was good with truck. Drove U-Haul home to find that a homeless man had made himself a home in the back. I called the guy I rented from and couldn't get thru not had anyone call me back after being told he would. I then proceeded to call corporate and they handled it appropriately. They made sure I was taken care of in the end.
Easy drop-off. They were closed, so we were only outside and no one assisted us.
The return store was also 45 min drive. I called the Niceville location and the gentleman said there would be a charge if I dropped it at the SRB location. We proceeded to Niceville. Once returned, a charge appeared on my receipt for the difference in half a tank and 3/4 tank of gas. So, the offer from the Alpharetta location clerk was not honored by the Niceville location. I did not complain. I understand various challenges in locations, franchises, ownership, etc. And the frustrations when servers are down. However this was a sub par experience and caused us an overnight delay in our move. Kitty Whitney
The truck is was in May need to go in for servicing, the transmission to me may have an issue and I know that you would want your customers to be safe when using your trucks, thank you and God Bless
Very rude and was cussed at by both the owner and his son. Shocked Uhaul would be associated with this location. Very disappointed.
Truck had trash in cab. Engine light was on from the first time I cranked it. I assumed it was a reminder to have the vehicle serviced soon because the engine sounded fine and no one at Commander's said anything. I had wanted a 15' truck for a Destin, FL to Freeport, FL move but the dealer only had a 10'. This resulted in me spending twice as much time and miles. Also, I was supposed to be emailed a receipt but I never received it.
Over charged. Representative was very rude unpleasant. Uhaul needed mechanical work.
The location was perfect.
Only one attendant at a gas station who was working on my reservation between helping other customers. It took about 30min to complete my reservation. I asked if she could help me get it hooked up because it had been years since I'd towed a trailer. Attendant said she couldn't leave the store. Went out the lot and found my trailer, the ball socket clamp was so rusted I couldn't twist it to lock it place on the hitch. Attendant had to assign me another trailer, which took another 15min. It was terrible customer service coupled with poorly maintained equipment.
We were directed to location accross the street at a storage unit. It took some time to maneuver around the storage unit with truck and trailer. This location wasnt where the truck was suppose to be. We finely figured out where to leave the truck. We had to go get and move to location. The location given to us was 22 miles from where we moved to. This required us to cross a toll bridge that ended up costing us another 20 dollars to drop off and get back. This in my opinion is rediculous just to drop a truck off. I would probably not use u haul in the future due to this. Also the app and process that is used to return vehicle is a joke.
Equipment was not ready for pickup; location did not have quantity of furniture blankets requested.
Didn't find out until after departure that the a/c didn't work. Halfway through the trip the gas cap came off causing a fuel spill.
The truck had a terrible squeak. While driving in the rain the seat belt connected to the upper sides of the truck, on the right and left side was just pouring rain on us. Not Good!
Both my pickup and drop off locations were the same. The staff at the convenience store were super helpful and picking up and dropping off was a breeze.

When we arrived at the UHaul location, the clerk would not give me credit for the amount I had already paid online when I thought I could use a smaller trailer. I called about changing the size of the trailer and was told that we could work that out when we picked it up. The clerk did not know how to do that, and said I could work it out later. We were supposed to get a dolly, but none available. The clerk was very nice and apologetic, so I have not problem with him. We returned the trailer on Sunday Feb. 25, but no one was there.

They over charged me and where not helpful.Though U-haul did make good on the over charge,so I will use Uhaul again.just not that location.

The truck shakes a lot, the engine was weak.
Commanders mini storage is excellent. They have everything up and ready to go. This is not the first time that I have dealt with them. Recommend them to all my friends. Thank you.
The location seemed very ill-prepared to handle U-Haul truck rentals. Their primary business is a convenience store. The clerk was working alone when I arrived and told me that the computer system was down. He had to set my rental up over the phone with U-Haul's call center... all-the-while, he's trying to juggle customers who are in and out of the convenience store needing service... so, he ended up giving me the keys to the truck and had me go outside and get the truck out of his back lot myself. We didn't do a walk-around, and we didn't check the gas. The only contractual paper that I had, I later discovered was entirely in Spanish, so I couldn't read anything on it. Luckily, I had a brand new truck, so there was no damage, but the truck was dirty and had tons of old blankets in the back of it.. as I suspected, when I went to turn the truck in, the mileage was all wrong and there was no indication of where the gas was when I accepted the vehicle, so U-Haul initially tried to hit me with a bunch of extra charges. Luckily, the receiving location at Causeway in Metairie is much more organized and was able to sort everything out for me after about 20 minutes at no extra charge.
This location was poor and U-Haul had the wrong physical address for it in the e-mail that was sent to me. Also, my trailer was very old and looked like it should be retired.
