They told me that the 12 pieces of furniture pads that I paid for are in the back of the truck and turned out they forgot to put them there. Also, truck was dirty! They refunded me for the furniture pads; however, they did not update the contract so at my destination, I was charged $25 for cleaning and $72 for missing pads that I never received. It took me 2 h of being on hold to talk to someone in the customer service to explain the situation. Extremely frustrating!

Self drop off instructions were unclear, the app did not work properly and required difficult registration through the website. After 30 minutes of time spent doing this, the process tried to chart for a late fee even though it was past 6pm when we picked the truck up and no one would be picking it up until the morning.

Not a big deal, but I did the online check in with the belief that I wouldn’t have to wait in line...or at least that’s what it led me to believe. But I did wait maybe 15 minutes for three other people in line in front of me. Again, not a big thing because the guy I dealt with was terrific - his name was Angel. I think perhaps the website needs to clear that up a bit. But please know I was very satisfied with the service, the truck, & the people who work there.

The exception: I requested drop off on Whalley Ave around the corner from my home. Maybe when I changed pick-up location. Either way, it should not have affected drop-off location. I do not know when it was mixed up in the order that I had to drop off at State ST, an inconvenience. I have to remain on hold too long to speak to representative (And the awful waiting time music needs to change). I suggest a system that employs a return call back instead of waiting on hold in order to not lose place in line.

The locations were confused as to where pick up would be . I was reserved to pick up in Orange but yet reservations were on state street. Later organs called and said I was late for pickup but confirmation at pickup involved a text message in which I confirmed my reservation. Gettin a 36 footer was hard only unless I brought rental back to same location. Wait was too long , reservation should have a quick and easy check out .

Went to pick up our confirmed truck from uhaul and was told there were no trucks. Nobody called us. Nobody emailed us. Just showed up to finding out our confirmed truck wasn’t there. Even better, we were told there were no trucks available within 90 miles. We had 2 sets of movers booked which we had to cancel and eat the deposit with them. Then we did finally get a much bigger truck, the movers had other jobs planned. So U-Haul ruined our entire day, cost us hundreds of dollars in movers, babysitters and gas - and we had travelled 3 hours by car to do this move. Uhaul customer service was nonexistent and unreliable. Uhaul and good service is an oxymoron.

My reservation was for 10 a.m. On my way to get my truck I was called by a U-Haul agent and told my reservation wasn’t really a reservation (despite my confirmation number) and my truck wouldn’t be available until noon. Since I was a block away from the facility when I got this call and had planned my day around having my truck at 10, I got in line and was able to get a truck due to a no-show. I suggest you don’t change a reservation on customers if you want to improve the experience for them.

System was overloaded and wait time was ridiculous. I confirmed s 10 foot truck in Meridan the day before and I was given a van. I couldn’t uses the van because it was too small and they had no other trucks available. I then had to wait 2 hours to pick up a 15 footer in the new haven location. Very bad experience in general.

I had reservded two furniture dollys. When I arrived to pick up the truck and other items, I learned that they had no dollies in stock. I was upset but they sent me to another Uhaul to pick up the needed dollys. I think I should have been told up front that the dollys were not available at my original location.

Very nice pick up location. I would just ask that more staff be present in the morning when you know you have many truck pickups. There was a line of about 6 people while I was checking out.
