If you are doing the mobile app pick up out of hours, be prepared for extra time to go through all the process. You will need to provide the names and numbers of 2 contacts a that Uhaul will call to confirm, or a copy of your passport or lease/ mortgage agreement. Which naturally I didn't carry with me to a Uhaul parking lot for use when my contacts weren't available to pick up their phones. So just prep your contact people so they know to answer or bring along that paperwork. Steve, at the location, was super helpful when I'd gone in the previous day with a couple of questions.

I was not able to get the pick up truck I had reserved. It seems there was only one and it had a busted gate handle. There were plenty of trucks but not enough pick up trucks to get a functioning one. After I left, I wondered why the employee didn't try to see if there was a pick up at another location - there are at least two other locations in Gallatin Pike. The employees were pleasant and accomodating, but I would rather have had the pick up!

I returned my truck at 5PM on Friday 4/16 and found the location closed and unmanned. The website indicated that this location was open until 7PM. While this location had multiple trucks, it was a storage facility. I had several questions that I wanted to get some help but could not.

Let's actually have the items in a customers order and not send them on a two hour goose chase to find a furniture dolly. I ordered four, was told a location had two, after waiting an hour that new location told me that the other was an idiot and they didn't have any, thankfully the second store they called had one(had to wait for a call back) then had to go 30 minutes out of my way to finally get one. I placed this order a week ago. CHECK IT. I lost two hours on a move and got screwed by you. I couldn't complete my move because of it.

The process for rental and return was seamless. However, the inside of the truck around the cupholders, console, dash and the front windows were dirty. I have high expectations of cleanliness and sterilization of companies I use during Covid and this was a miss. When returning the truck I wanted to leave feedback that they needed to clean it up but there was not way to do that without the system wanting to charge me a cleaning fee for something that was from a previous renter. If I need to use a truck again I would because of the convenience but maybe there is a way to leave feedback on the condition, other than the pictures of the dirty console that I took before renting.

Train storage companies that lease your vehicles to offer roadside assistance. I was offered collision insurance but not roadside. I was stranded in mud with a uhaul and I had to pay out of pocket to get the truck pulled out by a wrecker company. I will never use uhaul again.... BEWARE rent at your own expense.

I was charged for three gallons of fuel and a $25 cleaning charge for a six hour rental. I only drove the truck for a TOTAL OF SIX miles. How is it even possible that I used 3.6 gallons of fuel? Also, I returned the vehicle in the same condition I received it. The cab smelled.of smoke when I got it and the floor was wet, so actually I returned it in better condition. The attendant at East Nashville Storage did not inspect the vehicle when I returned it, so I was unpleasantly surprised by this charge. Will be taking my business elsewhere (like Home Depot) for local rentals in future.

The original rate on website said $675. We arrived at 3:00pm to pick up the rental, and our rate was jacked up to $874!!! The attendee said it was because we were late? Our scheduled pick up was for 1:30p? I did not read in the rental online documents that there would be any additional fees if picked an one hour and a half after scheduled time. In fact, the registration had been cancelled and the attendee said that it had been done by UHAUL. He also was very impatient and could offer no explanations as to the almost $200 increase of now $874? I explained that we had a delayed flight and he was not listening or trying to help. I request that $199 be refunded to my credit card account, under the circumstances. You may call me for any further explanation. If I do not hear back from you, Thank you. (432)349-9228
