Truck was clean inside. However, there were issues with driver and passenger doors not shutting properly (required hard slam to close fully). Truck had multiple scratches/scuffs/dings not indicated on initial rental damage report. Rental agent was good, which is why I gave the overall an above average rating. Only used 6 furniture pads, but got charged for 12. Not a huge deal, but disappointing.TED K.

The first part of this review is about uhaul, specifically the app's utterly dismal experience. The second part is the facility (the rating is unfair to them but I hope someone at uhaul makes some improvements. (Family Pantry did great by the way, see further below). Admidst this pandemc, I was delighted about the promise & possibility of a contactless rental, avoiding the long wait and endless paperwork that has been my typical experience. So I created an account, put in my cc & DL number and got a confirmation. When I showed up at the facility the app had "pick up my truck" option and gave me the truck number. I thought wow, this is besting my Hertz Gold so far. And that's as far as it went. The app asked for more info, take a picture of my face, etc. and then it stopped working. I had to go in, and the attendant has to start over with everything, touched everything, the cc, DL, and I had to sign their paperwork, the connection went down; and all the while spending 30 minutes inside a store that I had dreamed I would avoid. Then the attendant had to assign another truck, and finally I had my vehicle. Whoever is in charge of the app ought to be fired. I run a software business and this would have been completely unacceptable for a customer of ours. As I said earlier, the Family Pantry attendant did his best working through the mess Uhaul put him in. The truck itself was good, all that went smoothly. Finally when I dropped it off the attendant said "that's it, you are done I will take care of the receipt" and I was able to get home.Parth S.

U Haul app did not work. Took many attempts to log in and ended up giving up, even after it had worked well the previous day. Received link to identify damages on truck, link worked fine until I â€œdeclinedâ€ some of the pictures, as there was damage on the passenger side and front areas. Was told to take pictures via the link, did so but the upload took over an hour (only 2 pictures) and eventually gave up. The store owner said to just take pictures and save them on my camera. Luckily I did not have a reason to use the pictures.MARK S.
Terrible location!! Truck had not been touch inside. Masses of pet hair, filthy interior. Made the owner clean out before we took possession. We had ordered 4 dozen pads and he only had 3 dozen. We had to go to the West Dundee UHaul location to pu more pads. Extremely inconvenient!!!!LAURA W.
