The Mountain View location was great. I first was scheduled to go to the Santa Clara location and I had a very bad experience there. There was no truck assigned even though I had reserved, paid and did an on line check in since I was moving to a new house. The gentleman casually told me there is no truck and there isn't anything he can do. He also tells me, â€œgo ahead and call themâ€. I was so confused who to call where I was already at the u-haul store!! Shouldn't be the one calling and find out what happened? I told him this is going to create a problem for me as I have movers waiting in my house. He looked at me and just changed his seat to the next cashiers. I was shocked. I left and called the number on my reservation and got routed to Mountain View. Mountain View location was great. Helpful and organized. But this delayed my move for 2 hours and I had to pay 3 movers extra $$ only cause uhaul really ruined it for me. Santa Clara location was in fact a joke. Rude staff, and this probably would be the last time I am using uhaul. Everyone told me to go to Pensky, I didn't listen. What a mistake.Laleh B.

The truck had pet hair all over the seat when I got in. Also, when I went to drop the truck off, there were a bunch of people waiting to drop off their trucks and nobody in site inside the store or out for a good 30minKANG M.
They just need to hire more employees. The two guys working there were fine but there is no way they can keep up with volume. There was a long wait picking up and an even longer wait dropping off. Corporate needs to hire more help.Gregory S.
The pickup experience was excellent and the vehicle was clean and ready. At drop off an older man at the desk told me to go use the website on the side of the van for return in a very rude manner. It was 30 minutes before close so maybe he wasn't happy to be getting vehicles. The mobile app sounds like a great idea but leaves the customer doing all the check-in work.Brian R.

The location is clean, well maintained, and has sufficient product, but is clearly understaffed. When I showed up, there was no one at the desk. I waited 10 minutes, wandered around the lot, and found someone to tell them there were people waiting. Another 5 minutes later, someone showed up. He was very helpful once he was there -- my sense is he's a good employee who just has too many things to juggle.Jeffrey H.

The people there -- and especially your female employee there -- are great. In fact they are fantastic. The only problem is that the location is severely understaffed, so sometimes wait times are long. The employees are efficient, but managing the lot, the store, the garage for hitch installations, etc, when they are sometimes alone, is too much.Luca D.

I understand why the hand truck is in there but it did get in our way loading. But I loved the on-line check-in since it really worked on both ends. The guy moving trucks around on Memorial Day was very busy and incredibly helpfull with filling out the check in mileage form.JULIA N.

Cabin smelt like smoke. Dolly wasn't secured causing the band to snap and charging me a rental even when we couldn't even use it .The key drop off doesn't match what was instructed from online. People are not personal and have an attitude problem. I really hope this isn't a corporate office because this doesn't reflect the name u-haul most have come to love.Justin L.
