Multiple issues. First, I reserved the trailer at one location weeks in advance and ended up having to pick it up at a different location, four miles further away. I had checked in online to make the process quicker and paid in full. When i arrived at pickup point, I had to check-in all over again. Once check-in was complete they asked me how I was going to pay. When I told them I had already paid in full online, they showed me their computer screen that said I hadn't and wanted me to pay a second time. I insisted I had already paid in full and it wasn't until I produced a receipt, after texting my wife to get it, that the supervisor then went to a different site on his computer and found the payment had in fact been paid, to which he did offer an apology. It seems the supervisor was upset with a prior customer, which seeming carried over to my conservation with him. Both the prior customer and the supervisor were exchanging unpleasantries with each other, to the point where I thought there was going to be a fist fight. Once the supervisor got me checked in, he was great with me throughout the remainder of the process.

Jody really helped us get set-up. During the safety inspection we noticed the trailer running lights were not on. Jody suspected a blown fuse on my truck and went to work locating the correct fuse box and correct fuse. It was in a difficult location requiring removal of panels and getting twisted up on the floor of the vehicle, needing a flashlight, etc. He spent 15 minutes or so getting my vehicle squared away and I really appreciate that professionalism and commitment to get the job done. Jody is a really good guy, smart, and resourceful and has a very positive attitude. Your selection of trailers, hours of operation, convenient location for me, and price were all factors in renting from U-Haul. Happy New Year! Donnie

Called the Mooresville location Sunday 12/22 @ 4:23 to secure rental. Received confirmation (Ref # 83333530) for truck. The phone associate told me that they close at 5pm. I told him I was on my way and I was in Statesville (13 miles away). He asked me to be there at 4:45pm and I told him id do my best. I’m on my way, at 4:48 I was still about 5 minutes away. I called back and told the phone specialist that I was 5 minutes away and asked whether it was ok or if I needed to reschedule because I didn’t want anyone waiting on me. The phone tech told me that it was fine that I come on in and that my truck was ready. (At that moment, I thought I was talking to the associate at the Mooresville uhaul location since he told me my truck was ready). I got there maybe 2 or 3 minutes before 5pm, the store was open. I jumped out of the car, was right at the door, dropped something out of my purse, quickly picked it up, was right at the door and the associate pushed a button and closed the door right in my face. I was calm, he was defensive and irrational. I tried to explain to him that I called and was told that the truck was ready. (as I previously stated, I thought the associate on the phone was the same as the one at the store.) All he kept saying was “we’re closed”. We’re talking through the glass door and again im trying to explain that I’d called and was told that the truck was ready. He finally walked over to the opening in the door where I could actually hear his voice and again told me that they were closed. I was able to again explain to him that I’d talked to someone and booked the truck and called them and let them know that I’d be there just before 5pm. He finally heard me and flippantly said that I had spoken to someone in corporate and that they were different from this location. Well since I was calling a Mooresville number, I figured the person I was speaking to was in that office. I was wrong. He finally said that he would get the truck but I’d have to go online and check in. I told him thank you. He brought the truck around and told me to go online to sign in and get instructions on getting the key. I honestly didn’t have a problem with that because they closed at 5. He walked back into the store and disappeared temporarily. The truck was for my sister so i went online and completed my check in but didn’t get a lock code. At 5:16, I called the same # that I called for the booking, and was disconnected. I called at 5:19 was disconnected. Called at 5:20 and was on hold for about 20 minutes. The associate walked me through getting the code. I have to say that uhaul phone support was amazing! They were so polite and helpful and patient with me and I appreciate it. Even with the code, we couldn’t get into the lock. So I called back at 6:08 was disconnected, I called the 1.833 #, was on hold for another 20 or 30 minutes. At this point, we had been in the uhaul parking lot for over an hour. There were 2 associa

Overall the procedures went along so professionally and smoothly. Though accommodating another person involved in the move, help offered and weather changes or conditions necessitated my having to make several changes in the rental equipment. The guys at the place were great. However, my truck stalled on me causing me to have to use more time and gas. Also, I had to leave the truck running and was afraid to cut it off, causing me to spend more on gas. I would like to be compensation. This location is very busy but the clerks do a good job keeping everything going. They are constantly hustling to keep things flowing. Leadership should look into hiring more people to provide these guys some support. I’ve used the service several times and it is always good service. I just feel sorry for the workers as they seem to have too many spinning plates.
