I used the U-Haul app. Even though I showed up after the time I had reserved it, my reservation was grayed out so I couldn't click on it. I had to go through the person at the desk to get the truck. Fortunately, there was not a line at the time I showed up.

Stupid, ignorant people employed here. The 6 x 12' trailer had bald tires with the threads showing, about to go on a 3000 mile cross country trip. The rep said that since we "purchased the $70.00 insurance, when they blow out, just call u-haul". The lower tail/ brake lights weren't working and u-haul refused to fix them. We rented an appliance dolly and returned it before our trip (1/14). The receiving service rep "forgot" to "make a note in our file" that we returned it and now. he "doesn't remember us because he deals with so many people every day", which is causing us a lot of grief in having to pay for a lost dolly (5 days later)!

I reserved a truck two weeks ahead of my need. I was told to come to the Del Monte location to pick it up. One day before my pick up date I received a call saying they did not have the truck I reserved and I would need to drive 50 miles to santa Cruz to pick it up. When making the reseravation I was never told I might have to go to a different location to pick it up. The woman on the phone kept saying "well, they should have told you." The point is the DID not tell me, it was their responsibility to do so. I was very unhappy with the customer service provided

Bought a queen mattress bag, tape and a dozen blankets when I was reserving a truck online. At check out I was only billed for the mattress and bag (paid for truck on return). When I picked up the truck, the attendant didn't see on the order that I already had purchased/rented the blankets, tape and bag, so I asked for those items again (not the tape, though) and was charged for them again. It was my fault for not catching it, so it would've been excellent if the attendant reminded me by asking if I had bought anything already.

The best uhaul store I have ever been to... The customer service on receiving and returning the truck we rented was outstanding .. I almost didn’t use this company after a rather unpleasant service in Santa Cruz last year.. But I am so glad I came to the Del monte Store ... excellent !!!

The walk-around inspection was ridiculous. The truck had hundreds of scratches and we had to verify that each one had a little black "X" sticker on it. I can understand liability for dents and major cosmetic damage to the vehicle, but the the the level of damage we would have been apparently responsible to pay for repairs was over the top for an older rental truck.

This location was 55 miles out of our way from our original reservation location. The fuel gauge recorded on the contract was off by 6 gallons. We determined this by filling the tank after leaving the location. We were only reimbursed for $9. That's half the amount. It should have been $18. Also, we were promised the rental at $200 to make up for the inconvenience of having to drive out of town for pick-up. We were charged $205 instead of the agreed $200.
