I was quoted round trip $885 by the call center when I upgraded from a 9' van to a 17' truck. I went to pick it up and was told the price was actually $1,500. I asked the store manager to check with the Punta Gorda FL store to see if the one-way equipment would be available at the last minute. He told me I could do that myself. Since my drop-off ride had already left the store, I took the truck and decided I'd figure out my options when I got home. The truck was an absolute piece of junk with 150K miles on it. The seat was all broken down and the windshield was so dirty I couldn't see out of it. U-Haul should be ashamed of this manager and this piece of equipment. It cost me $80 to bring this truck back 17 hours later. I ended up renting from Penske, got a brand new truck, a much lower rate and a very good customer service experience. U-Haul has lost me for a customer for good.

I have been renting Uhauls for years. This is the first time I have been severely disappointed. First called Uhaul to inquire and rent a unit for 30 days and was given a place in Pensacola FL. They advertise first 30 days for free. When I called them back I was informed they were not. I called UHaul and was on the phone with them for over 55 minutes attempting to get a good location they advertise. I asked to speak with a manger about the 45 minute mark and some how the manger was not available but they were able to find a space in Mobile. It took over 10 minutes to get the locates in Mobile. It was very frustrating. Upon arrival the store had one employee working and they could not get the cards working. Not very polite. Very disappointed overall.

The general manager working was not an issue at all. He did his job, but unfortunately just one guy cannot run a whole store by himself and they were extremely understaffed. My real complaint was that I couldn't find a dolly in like 5 locations, one of which even rented me one and when I showed up to get it didn't even have one! I believe that was the beltline store.

My gf had reserved a uhaul for us to travel a very short distance the night before and they told us it would b ready at 10 am the next morning and give us a call at that time we waited till 11 am before we called them spoke to a lady that worked there told her about our situation and she told us she would call us right back 40 mins later we call again spoke to the same person and they acted like she had no clue of what we was talking about or our previous conversation finally just went to the closest u haul and told them the situation spent at least two hours in the store even though checking out a truck is only supposed to be a "30 minute process " horrible I would recommend any other company besides u haul

NEW General Manager, and he was so busy trying to make a dollar for the company, he forgot about TRUE Customer Service. Most of all, while another associate was handling the tranaction with my name and cc on the contact, he rudely interupted with no kind of explanation to my spouse as to why he couldn't rent a specific trailer and left my name on a contract that had my husband's cc info in it just because I wasn't there to sign the contract, after I had already been to one location to verify who I was with my cc and had to be at work so I was told it would be no problem. Guess what? He was the problem... Not only did was he rude, unprofessional, but very inconsiderate as well. What GM tells you I can't process the contact under your wife's name and cc, but is able to leave her name in the contact and use the spouses cc and I want there to sign anything? Talking about DOUBLE STANDARD, but he made sure not 1 of the 3 or 4 one-way equipment didn't leave his property cause they could make more money off of those in which he FAILED TO explain. One thing I do know is I can appreciate when someone knows his or her company policies, but also. VALUE their customers.

Was told my debit card wouldn't be charged until I brought the truck back but they charged the original price then the next day charged again the actual cost. Waiting for the 1st charge to be returned. How come it takes seconds to take our money but days to return it? Very disappointed. Employee lied about charging card or I would have paid cash

I took out for 200miles and I didn't use nothing but 52miles.and they gave me $87.00 dollars back. When I suppose to got more back. I guess he keep the rest for himself.
