Fix your online processes: many pick up steps could have been completed before I went to pick up. Have more agents on during busy times. I finally went into the office to complete check in.
It was a little weird having to upload my driver's license when it was sitting on the counter and had been looked at by a human but I guess that's where we are these days. Everything was so easy and straight forward. Thank you.
Uhauls online app for license verification should be optional. Oh and work. The truck smelled like smoke and had ashes all over floors.
Acorn Mini Storage is centrally located and the staff was generally helpful. I was annoyed that a staff member called me about the number of moving blankets I requested for my rental 5 minutes before the office closed on the day before our rental, so when I called back 7 minutes later to confirm I wanted to make a change, nobody answered and the change was not made. On the whole, our rental experience on the whole was quite poor, and this seems to be a running theme with most moving companies when we pick up our truck at a third party location. We arrived at 8 AM to pick up our truck, and when I tried to complete the online check-in (because Acorn did not open until 9 AM), the U-Haul website continued to tell me that my location services on my phone were not on, which was false. My wife was able to get through to fill out the required information, but then we were stuck waiting for a U-Haul representative to verify the info for nearly 40 minutes. We were supposed to start our move at 9 AM, and we were delayed by an hour because of this. I will not rent a truck from U-Haul again.
You need to fix the online and app user experience. The online and app experience was horrible. I had to scan/enter drivers license 3 times as well as most info (everything other than my name). The truck and people were top notch. You should be embarrassed by your digital engagement.

Your computer systems were down, causing SERIOUS delays in check-in and availability of the truck. It wasn't until 11am until I was able to get my truck vs. 8am. The truck had terrible shocks, like riding on a boat on water.
I reserved a 15' truck two weeks in advance for a 12 hour rental. Within five minutes of making the reservation, I amended the rental to a 24 hour rental and received confirmation. The night before my 7 am rental pick-up, I received a voice mail informing me the rental was changed back to 12 hours, giving me well less than 24 hours notice of the change. Upon mobile pick-up, the truck was missing the appliance dolly and dozen furniture pads I requested. The padlock on the back of the truck did not work. There were no directions provided for where to drop off the truck at the end of the rental period, as the location was closed. Given that the location was closed, I do not understand why the truck rental period was changed from 24 to 12 hours. I notified U-Haul customer service about the issue and was told the local branch would call me to correct the appliance dolly and pad omission, but I never received a call. When I went to the local branch to pick up the furniture dolly after they opened, the staff was brash and unprofessional. I am incredibly displeased with the experience and could not recommend this branch to anyone.
I rent storage space here and have rented trucks and vans. Excellent service. Vehicles are nearly new. I actually rented at a different location first but they didn't follow thru! Told me to go elsewhere. So I did!
Equipment was clean and maintained but there was no ramp in the truck. We were moving a piano! Too late to go get one when time to load. Also, I rated the site low because staff not wearing masks and no hand sanitizer was available if needed.
My truck was not ready in pick up truck online so I called customer service and they told me my truck was not set up from store for My pick up truck
The person working was extremely rude and also my reservation was for 8am and no one showed up until 1030 and then I was told I still had to pay for all 4 hours
Equipment was in good condition and worked. The online system seemed a bit clunky though. I received a text 2 days prior to enter in my license ahead of time to only have to repeat the steps and require additional information that wasn't presented as required earlier (when I could have made sure it was on me). The only option was to have a secondary contact, which the phone call was marked as spam and sent to vm immediately on their phone. We got it worked out but if I'm going to get a please prefill information to not be used and missing things actually needed, some improvements should be made.
Truck was covered in snow and ice with no scraper
Absolutely no oil in the truck no oil available at acorn we had to drive and purchase oil and put it in ourselves or they would have given us a different truck and we would of had to completely unload and reload the truck i returned the truck on time did not know how to do verification on my phone was never told i would have to do that called them next morning during office hours asked them to call me back they never did I will never rent a uhaul truck again from acorn

very easy and reasonably priced. Knowledgable staff. also had after hours process if we needed.
Can't think of anything. They were curtious and professional. The truck was ready to go. I was in and out very quickly.

They were having trouble with their computer system , she charged my credit card for the insurance then when I was ready to drive off she came out and asked me for my credit card again. I am going to have to check my bank statement
