I have rented a 12 foot one-way trailer twice from Balcom Brothers. Both times I specified I wanted to drop the trailer in Orleans, MA, at Lower Cape Auto Repair. Both times, the data that was entered in the system reflects I am to drop the trailer in Hyannis because Lower Cape, apparently, is not an option in the System. This happened the second time despite my specifically stating I was not going to drop the trailer in Hyannis and the sales person stated it wouldn't be a problem - I would simply need to call the 1-800 U-Haul number when I dropped the trailer, which I did, however it's a hassle and the rep. who answered the phone indicated I might have to pay a fee to drop in Orleans despite me working this out with U-Haul in advance. Bottom line - your systems need to allow your Agent's flexibility to input alternate drop locations. It shouldn't be this hard and it should be seamless on my end as the customer!

Convenient location however I am always charged for gas even if I bring it back with more gas than I received it with. This is a distinct pattern that has happened 3 times. This time it was 3 gallons while I filled it with more than it had to start. It is very clear from the pattern that it is an intentional skimming and that hurts loyalty and trust.

The trunk was rented without a full tank of gas, which I understand is the practice for uHaul. They then charged me for the missing gas that I could not have possibly used because they did record the mileage! I went 13 miles and they charged for 40 miles of gas! I called uHaul and they provided a refund but it was a real hassle.

Was charged $25 cleaning fee. All I had was clean furniture in the back and there was nothing left in cargo compartment. This is excessive and will not rent again unless I'm reimbursed.

Gas was less than 1/4 tank. I didn't get to do a walk through of the vehicle before they had me sign I hopped in the truck pulled out and realized the truck only had about an 1/8 tank I gassed it up and checked the doc I signed and saw it was 1/4 of a tank miles were also off by 18 miles. I was in a rush to pick up my delivery so I kept going. I returned the truck with over 1/4 tank gas. Also I rented a 26 foot truck from monster gas station in Derry Nh the truck was at 1/8 tank. I put $75 in drive it 16 miles total brought it back with 3/4 tank and was not credited for the 28 gallons I put in it.

The fuel gauge registered full when I picked up the truck. I drove 32 miles and filled the fuel tank; it took 5.9 gallons. I informed the agent that either the tank was not full or the truck needs to be checked. I was not towing a trailer and the load in the truck was light. I did not have the tow engaged. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

This has nothing to do with the actual pick-up location. I booked months in advance and only was informed the day before that the pick up location changed adding hours of travel and inconvenience to the whole experience. We had already booked lodging near the original pick up site which we could not change the day before. Our travel route would have been quite different had we known sooner. More advance notice would save a LOT of expense, frustration, inconvenience and lost opportunity for your customers.

When u Change reservation u should make more effort to inform ur customers. It has happened twice that I go to the location where I made the reservation only to find u changed the pick up location. An email does not suffice. Everyone check it every 5 minutes.
