I rented a small motorcycle trailer for the day and the staff was extremely helpful I worked with Georgia she was very capable and efficient. The electrical hook up on my vehicle the connection was a little dirty she cleaned it and plugged it in and made it work she was extremely Polite and courteous and very professional. I scheduled a pickup at 7am over a week in advance. I got a phone call a couple days before my pickup from an employee stating I can’t come in until 7:30 because they open at seven and i cant be there right at open. So i went at 7:30 for pick up i waited in line for a half hour. To then walk all the way to the the back to pick up the truck for there to be garbage in the bed of the truck. Cups, wrappers, food bag. Then got into the truck and see cigarette ashes everywhere and it smell like Marijuana & Cigarettes. The steering wheel had sticky spilled drink all over it. So I climb in the back take all the garbage out STILL AT THE LOCATION because the employee couldn’t clean it out. And then I was boxed in by 2 trucks and was forced to wait even longer. I am a returning customer but I will never return to this location or possibly U-Haul at all. Enterprise Might Need Some Business. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Quick To Take My Money But Given the Lowest quality service and goods.

The staff is always very helpful and courteous. I've only rented trailers and they've always been in perfect working order. The office is usually understaffed. My only complaint is that the card readers freeze up just about every time I'm in. That being said for the service I get I'm happy to wait for my car to be punched in manually

On a Saturday morning the company needs to staff accordingly for the demand. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful but with 5 people behind and each taking sometime to go over contracts - you need more help, I was supposed to use the mobile pickup but the camera portion of the app wasn’t working probably.

Well I didn’t receive the best customer service at the Merrillville location that I originally ordered the truck from. I was under the impression that after I asked the question “so I have it for 24 hours after whenever I pick it up” that I could get it anytime during open business hours.... I didn’t know I had to be there right at open. Well imagine my surprise when I get a call and a voicemail on the day I’m coming to get it from a guy with a terrible attitude pretty much saying I should’ve been there to get it and if I wasn’t there soon (within an hour), he was going to give it away to someone else!!!!!! I was appalled and extremely upset! I let him know that I didn’t approve of his tone or attitude and he said “I know that was you calling and hanging up”. Ok, now after I received the voicemail, I promptly called back and was put on hold for nearly 20 minutes.... I hung up and only called once more so I’m unsure of what he was talking about. I’ve been in customer service for nearly 20 years AND I HAVE NEVER been in an argument and almost a shouting match over the phone with someone. Even when I told him I didn’t realize I had to be there within an hour of open (8am-9am), he even gave me attitude and told me “well they should’ve told you that” like it was my fault!!!!!!!! After about 3-5 minutes of going back and forth, HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!! I was absolutely fuming by this point!!!!!!! I tried to call back to get his name and speak with a manager, but he IMMEDIATELY AND PURPOSELY put me on hold. I honestly think someone was offering to pay him under the table if he got a vehicle for them seeing as I took one of the last ones!!!! You would’ve thought I stole his car or something!!!! I live in Lafayette and LUCKILY my uncle was able to pick up the truck!!!!!! I would’ve been so upset if the truck had been given away seeing out as it was my moms last day to move out of her retirement community. He needs to be spoken to! I’ve NEVER received this type of “customer service” from you guys. Continually asking a customer “well when are you coming to get it?” after they’ve given their credit card number seems absolutely ridiculous! I’ve never heard of having to be at a U-Haul within an hour of opening, or else! Please make me aware of your policies.

A month after renting the truck I received an email stating I didn’t pay a toll ( my IPASS was in the truck with us so I’m not sure how this was possible) and I had to pay a penalty fee. I disputed the charge and never heard back but the charge was taken from my bank account without my permission 2 weeks later. Overall I would not recommend Uhaul. Will not use them again in the future

i was told that all holds would be returned once truck has been returned. I was charged twice ... and still have not been given back my credit when i was told It would be. That was my only issue, other than that its a really nice set of staff.

Johnny Frazier was so very nice and explained everything very clearly. I really wanted a schererville location but the truck I needed wasn't available so that's how I was directed to Merrillville and I'd have to say I'd most definitely go to Merrillville again just for the pleasant experience!

This is the only location i come to when i need to rent a trailor. The redhead lady was extremely nice, pleasent, patient. Thr younger girl that was helping me cash out was very nice as well. Your computer system was having issues but she asured me that it would be taken care of. Minutes kater i was on my way out with my trailor. The younger girl hekped me hook up the trailor and when i came back. The olderredgead lady helled me disconnect the trailor. Both of these workers need to know they are are very pleasant to purchase from.

Dismissive, no follow through. All over the place. I received two calls early morning to ask me where the keys to the truck was. I told her I’m the U-Haul drop off slot in the door. She was oh! No apology for not checking and bothering me. Then proceeded to charge me for items we didn’t have. That’s what she has been calling me for. If we turned in two we would have turned it all in if we had anymore equipment. I had to call U-HAUL customer service and get the issue resolved and my money back from these people. Shameful service.

I was told it would be $10 for the additional insurance but was charged for $14. The driver's seat Was broken, it tilted very far to the left which was quite painful on my back. I also did not know that a ramp was not on the back of the truck.
