Instead of charging the customers for two days the same as one day, give customers a choice. Most of them will probably use the truck for one day but feel compelled to keep it two days because they are paying for it anyway.
Everything the service took forever he couldn't spell and then put insurance on the Uhaul n I didn't want it....

I rented a 6x12 trailer and the roll up door on the back was broke/messed up I caught with that door for 2 days
No improvements needed the gentleman assisted us in the set up of the trailer. Along with giving us tips on trailering. This being my first trip he went the extra mile to ensure we knew what to expect. Additionally he explained and ensured that my vehicle was properly loaded and safe prior to my departure. A true professional and I would say it was my pleasure to work with.
This is a very small U-Haul location and the gentleman was extremely nice. He was not my first choice as he was on the wrong side of town. However, the main U-Haul store located at 334 N Frontage Road was where I had reserved the dolly asking to pick it up around 7am on Saturday morning. I received email confirmation saying I could NOT pick up the dolly until noon. I called at 10am to see if I could come "early" and the young lady said that she had made a "boo-boo" and already rented out my reserved dolly to a walk-in customer. Her boss did get on the phone and find this alternate location that had a dolly available. It was just not very convenient. In the end it all worked out but took much longer than expected.
Pick up location was 45 miles from my house. (Gas=$$$). Truck was not clean. Cigarette butts in cab, back was full of trash.
The staff was very helpful and proactive about getting me the equipment i needed. Great job!
I was over charged for mileage used there was insurance added that I refuse when I booked the U-Haul. Explained that to the guy that I refuse the insurance he said take it up with uhaul. Never again will I use uhaul. One of the worst experience in my life

I advised them that I was moving from three hours away and they STILL gave me mileage which made me go over bc I had To make two trips to pack my things bc the truck wasn't big enough. The office was exceedingly hot, he had ran out of ink so o didn't get a receipt. Nobody from Uhaul told me about the pickup so when I called back and found out a truck was available I had to rush and try to make it there to pick it up and he wasn't friendly AT ALL!!!!
It is frustrating to enter all my info on the website and have to do it all again when i get there. I had a 10 hr trip ahead of me and it took 45 min to get the trailer. Computer network problems were the main issue. Had to call and tell them all my info twice before it worked. Very frustrating. Why cant i just show up, pay and leave. Should only take 5 min.
Had to call and get a pick up location closer to my location. Trailer had sand and leaves in it. Before heading out decided to check tires. One only had 7 lbs. Held air after being filled.

This was not where I scheduled to pick up a truck. We were three hours late and had to drive 100 miles extra. The truck does not come close to getting 10 mpg. It rides rough. We did not get the blankets we had asked for.
More equipment. Ran out of dolly I needed. Didn't sell supplies such as mattress bag.
I was told that my equipment rental would be $44 and received a receipt with that price. When I checked my online bank statement I was charged $80!
everything about this experience was poor. the staff was unprofessional, the computer was broken so that there was no printed paperwork or receipt, i was overcharged for mileage. when i received my total, it was $47, but when i looked at my bank statement $80 had been deducted. shady operation.
Checking out the truck took a long time because while processing paperwork, clerk still had to take care of gas station customers. Took in total about 25 mins to check out the truck. Inside the truck really smelled of something soiled. Other than that, everything was great.
The physical set-up isn't very customer service friendly. It's a self service gas station and snack store as well as a car wash site. There's no counter to fill out paperwork or sign it. You have to stand to one side while the cashier rings up customers, waiting for the rental clerk to fill out your paperwork, etc. Plus, they work behind an enclosed area - I'm sure it's because they're afraid of robberies. However, it's closed to our home so oh well.
When we picked up the U-Haul truck, we had to ask the clerk to have it cleaned/swept. When we brought the U-Haul back, we had to ask the clerk to inspect the truck because he was going to accept it without inspecting it.
The service took awhile because the attendant had to deal with the gas station customers and he had trouble balancing everything.
