We visited this location 2 times once on Saturday and once on Sunday, on Saturday the woman inside the store was working alone and very busy so there was a long line. On Sunday when we went in, it was right before closing and didn’t have to wait. I would consider adding a second person working inside the store on peak days/times. The woman was very nice, but having to wait as long as we did is annoying.

I have been coming here for over 8 yrs Dominic the manger is so sweet and always makes the visit worth it . Her communication is always proper and her service is always excellent.I stay all the way downtown but always use this location because of customer service .

.Rental times are time clear on website nor the center. I was told I would be charged for 2 days rental when I had the trailer less than 24 hours.

I returned the trailer well within the specified 24-hour time frame. I was never given proper instructions to return. I was concerned & said that I preferred proof for my records that I returned the trailer before leaving the counter & finalizing my contract. The clerk said, "Don't worry, our 24-hour surveillance will confirm you dropped it off. Rented at around 3pm. Returned at about 10:25pm THE SAME DAY. I was so thrilled that I took photos with my phone upon returning the trailer that cold evening because my multiple photos in real timing would serve as proof in any court of law that I did, indeed, returned their item WITHIN 24 hours. I even called the morning after at about 9:20am to assure that they received it. Again, I was told, "Don't worry mam, we have around-the-clock surveillance. You're OK. " After 24 hours, I received a phone call from Uhaul stating that I was late & they couldn't find the trailer. (Keep in mind that I left this HUGE, 6 feet by 12 feet trailer exactly where they instructed.) I was stunned that I was even receiving that phone call. Long story short, Uhaul sent me my receipt via email with the WRONG date of return & also the wrong timing. I called to request that I PLEASE receive an email that I returned it within the 24 hour time frame. TARA at the Mendenhall location in Memphis, TN appeared VERY ANNOYED that I called to request a simple correction as proof for my records that I did return the trailer back in time. I did not want that false late to be on my file & potentially affect future rentals because of the mistake Uhaul made, not me. Tara began to state in a very, very rude and disrespectful manner that I didn't need a revision of my receipt because they already billed my card. I told her that what she was staying wasn't the point. By law, ALL customers are intitled to a correct receipt. That way, no company can return months later with multiple late fees, etc. saying we owe thousands of dollars. When I requested to speak to management, Tara hung up in my face. Wow, after this experience, did they really think that I would rate them high?? Really? All I can say is that professionalism, proper etiquette, & kindness goes a long way. For the most part, that Mendenhall location exhibits NEITHER. That is truly sad that such a simple request I made to correct the receipt date & time they sent to me has yet to be resolved. (I'm at peace knowing that I still have my personal photos just in case.) DO NOT GO TO THE MENDENHALL LOCATION or you might experience what I did due to no fault of my own. If you do, TAKE YOUR OWN photos for your records.

My online reservation had no validity. My selections of Shelby Drive location and no insurance were changed to Mendenhall and insurance. Online reservation did not inform me that I needed proof of insurance in order to refuse additional insurance. I just happen to have an insurance card in my wallet. I noticed that clerk had charged me for insurance and it took three people to try and remove the charge. After an extensive amount of time the computer finally made the correction. I will check my credit card statement to make sure it was not charged multiple times. This is not a reflection on the clerks. It shows some disconnect between online and in person reservation procedures.
