The "owner" of the truck was such a jerk. The entire process. The gas meter to verify at check out does not let you move it in small increments, only by bigger marks of gas, and that was not an accurate reading at all. However at checking it back in it requires a picture. I filled the gas quite a bit over where it was when I rented the truck and the gas still charged me $26 for gas!!!! And was a huge jerk when I called to speak to him about it. The driver door doesnt even close well... you literally have to slam the door so hard. Not only will I never go there but I will warn others about him and my experience
Heidi SIn hindsight I should have had the guy come check the gas with me so we could both agree on the level. I was still in the parking lot when he parked the truck and once I got my emailed receipt he entered I returned the truck below the required level. That was disappointing.
kyle sWhen quoting a fee, I was advised the truck was going to cost $1600. When I picked-up the truck I was advised it was going to cost $1900. I was not prepared for the $300 extra charge. I was advised they never advise you of the taxes involved. Secondly, I have rented from U-Haul for years. It was always, the gas tank was full when you get it and you fill before returning it. It worked. Now, as soon as you drive it off the lot you have to hit a gas station. And, trying to fill the truck back up to 1/2 full is always a guessing game..
