Rented an auto carrier. When the agent attached it to our 26' Uhaul truck he did not tighten the ball and when we drove the car onto the carrier it came off the hitch. He also failed to attach the rest tie down chain and the car shifted after driving over rough highway.

Other locations in the Medford/Eagle Point area are better suited to provide the customer service and equipment that regular U-haul customers are used to. I was sent to this location at the last minute.

I reserved my truck at the location I store my things at because I was renting a truck so I could downsize within the same location. I wanted to load it, make one short trip about a 1/4 city block and then turn in the truck right there. When I arrived I was told that UHaul had changed my pick up and drop off to another location 4 miles away! I had no choice I had hired a helper! I had to drive across town, pay the help for the extra time, get a truck that was dirty and drive back, do the move then fill with gas and pay extra. I ended up spending about $80 over what was planned just because they changed my pick up and drop off at the last minute! I will never use uhaul again and will suggest to anyone I know to use any other company.

I can't think of anything. I was in and out quickly, price was way more than fair, customer service was great, and I was able to drop it off even though they were closed. It doesn't get any easier.

I originally requested to pickup the moving truck at the main Uhaul facility in town but the corporate office called me and asked me if I would be willing to agree to modifications and the drop off location was changed from my destination to having me return the truck back to the main facility in town which was 50 miles from where I wanted to drop off the truck and for doing so I was granted a lower price, an additional day and ample miles to do that, When I arrived at the main facility for pick up I waited in line about 15 minutes and then they looked up my reservation with my name and then told me that the Pick up location was shifted to another UHaul location in town. I was a bit upset because the last time I had looked at the reservation the pickup location was still showing as the place I was at and I had two men with me who I was paying by the hour for their labor. But I figured that change must have been part of the deal I agreed to in the modification. So I was given directions to the alternative place and told the name of the business next door to the Uhaul place because it does not have a sign, but I would know I was there because there would be a few Uhaul rental vehicles out front. That clerk was right, no signage and so I drove past the location and had to backtrack to get into it. However, when I finally arrived at the alternative pickup location the male clerk was made me feel intimidated and a bit scared. It began by my having to wait in the office for around 10 minutes while he dealt with another customer, and during that entire time he did not acknowledge that he saw me there, as he could have easily done by just saying something like "I will be with you shortly." He did not even make eye contact with me. He left the desk, when into the back and returned and continued speaking with that other man who left without renting anything. Then when it was my turn to speak with him I told I had a reservation and told him my name and he went to the computer, had some sort of problem with it and then said he could not find me in the system and he told me rudely that I must be mistaken and did not have a reservation and that I didn't have a truck reserved with him. So then I told him that the main facility had sent me there based on what they read in the computer, and asked him to look again. I gave him my telephone number and he asked me where I was going to go with the truck and I told him the destination and he told me again that I did not have a reservation, but that he could rent me the truck for the day for $103 PLUS over one dollar per mile, which I think that I remember he was saying would be $1.30 a mile, and that the $103 base did not include the extra insurance, and that I would have to return the truck to his location by the end of that day. I told him that my reservation did not contain per mile charges nor stipulation to return it that day. So then I asked him to try my reservation number and I gave him my reservati

Have the equipment I ordered and had conformation on available at the location I my reservation indicated. I had to drive 40 minutes to pick up this equipment!

Liking the neighborhood U-Haul centers better because the wait at the main stores can sometimes be upward of 20 minutes. Very good experience!

The location where I reserved the truck sent us to a different location when there were trucks sitting all around and there were no customers. When we finally found the 2nd location, we had to wait 45 minutes before we were helped and then had to put gas in the truck as the tank was empty. I will not be using U-Haul again!

When reserving a trailer on the U-haul website, available rental durations longer than "24 hours" are in increments of days (e.g. 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, etc.). I selected "2 days" as I knew I would have the trailer back well before a the third day (Tues. 5/21 @ 8:00am) and did not feel it warranted paying for a full extra day. The trailer was returned at 12:00pm on Monday 5/20, which would be "2 days and 4 hours" by U-Haul standards. If you are not going to give customers the option of reserving trailers in more granular increments (e.g. 2 days 1 hour, 2 days 2 hours, etc.), then charge me a prorated amount for the extra time that I had the trailer on the second day, not for an entire additional day. If you're going to allow customers to reserve trailers by-the-hour if reserving for under 24 hours, then offer by-the-hour options across the board. Absolutely ludicrous.

When I went to pick up my rental on the day of a huge move to another state, I ended up being told to go to three different places before I couple pick up my rental. This took me an hour and a half of driving around Medford, OR before I could start packing to move. When I got into the car, I noticed how dirty the windshield was, but I was in such a hurry because of the lost time, I didn't complain. Then, when I got home, I realized how dirty the cab was and even found weed in the cup holders. I also had to go gas up. This was a very frustrating experience where I didn't even receive any compassion about what was happening.

The van was dirty with garbage in it. and zero gas not a little zero lucky I did not run out on the way to the gas station. Also It was not explained to me the details of the contract. He said bring it back in 3 days and charged me a week rate????? I brought it back a day early and expected a credit for one day and did not get it. Mad about that. I would have used the van more days if I knew I had a week but I was told different, misinformed by the U haul guy. We use U haul all the time and we are in the middle of doing a lot of moving. Thinking of switching to Penski because there is always a problem using U haul. Not a happy customer.

Awesome experience! I rented just to get around town while they worked on my vehicle. I came worried about a check engine light and tags due. And left with a half hour labor and small problem fixed. Piece of mind! If your renting a U-haul or in for service!
