Ford cargo van very pleasant to drive--user friendly. Problem: I could not check in via online computer. Limited to using app on smart phone. Don't have the app on my phone and no Idea how to get it on the phone. How about and 800 number where I can call and check in the vehicle after hours?
When I rented the truck online, I declined the CDW. When I arrived to pick the truck, I had to go through another online process. I did not have my laptop or my reading glasses. After uploading my driver license using my phone, it would not go pass the screen to get the CDW insurance which I declined earlier. Had to get it to get the truck. Bad tactics. I will not be recommending U-Haul. fix your rental process first.
Having the truck available for pick up where originally asked to have it an not have it moved to 3 different locations out of the way to pick it ip
The staff was friendly and practiced COVID-19 safety very well. It was a great experience, and had no problems.
Make sure the had tanks are actually full when you tell your customers they are. I put 15 gallons in to top it off when I was done. There's no way I used 15 gallons of fuel going 54 miles. I would like to be reimbursed.
Langes didn't explain the drop off process at all!, didn't see the text from U-Haul because we were moving all day. Saw the text after we dropped off the truck had to go back at 11 pm at night to take the pictures and complete the after hours drop off process, which was hard to complete because we had already turned in the keys. Not what we wanted to do after a hard day of moving.
1- Oil life was 10% at pick up, 6% at drop off. 2- Pumping gas was horrible and frustrating at all gas stations. Gas flow stopped consistently 12 times every 1 gallon even when the empty tank signal was on (safety trigger to stop the flow of gas when the tank is full to avoid spilling). This caused gas spills and much delays and frustration. It took me about 40 minutes to try to fill the truck's gas tank. 3- Truck has NO cruise control, which made it painful and inconvenience to drive long distance. 4- Truck was NOT clean.
It was closed when we dropped it off.
Uhaul needs to do a better job on rental locations. Once I have secured a reservation at a certain location I do not expect to have it changed---Uhaul says that I will be contacted by representative by 6pm--DID NOT HAPPEN--If I had not called the reserved location the next morning just to make sure everything was set, I would not have known that my pickup location had changed
Better customer service skills would be beneficial. Had to ask about the after hours return process and there was no conversation around if I had any experience with U-Haul, or this was my first time using them, which it was.
Van had GREAT airconditioner??
Put cruise control in the vehicles that don't have it.
I answered yes to all your questions because the location was handy and the clerk was friendly but the process to check the truck back in after hours is awful. I shouldn't have to creat a user name and download the app for that. (What do older people do that don't have a smart phone?) It was not user friendly and did not accept my password right after I created it. Then it couldn't refund my difference with the card it took the money from not 2 hours before. Now I have a gift certificate supposedly coming back to me. I'd like my money. What am I going to do with a $5.37 for certificate?
Dirty cab and broken drivers seat so I guess a cleaner truck and no broken seat.

When you say you open at 9 a m you should. Waited until 7:10 a m for workers to open doors

Billed me for overtime return. I was there at 5 PM on Saturday, they don't even open on Saturday. the starting counter picked the drop off
