The individual was polite and professional. The truck given was old, needed wheel alinement but then again the person acknowledged it was old. However, the back of the truck was filled with pampers, chalk, crayons, soda bottle and plastic container as well as other garbage. Obviously no one including myself looked in the rear prior to taking off with the vehicle. I just assumed that it would have been clean. Took me precious time to clean it. and filled up almost half of a black garbage bag. In recommending this location I would tell someone to make sure the rear is clean before taking off. I feel that this should deserve a rebate of some of the fee charged. That will be up to you folks to decide. Not what i expected from U-Haul.

I sent email to the address provided. Overall I was beyond disappointed! One, I was charged for an appliance dolly. I did not receive an appliance dolly. I was given a regular dolly, which honestly was useless to me. I actually had to drive home and pick up my own personal dolly that was of higher quality. Two, the truck itself was disgusting on the inside. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the day it was purchased! Finally, and what really upset me, was the truck needs to be checked out by a mechanic. The steering on the truck was beyond “loose”. While driving there were times I was seriously concerned for my safety. Beyond the steering the brakes were extremely “soft”. Honestly, overall my experience was not very good. I really am not sure if I would use uhail again or recommend them to my friends/family. I hope my concerns are taken seriously!

The experience before picking up the truck was terrible. I booked a truck 2 weeks ago and received a phone call the day before pickup that they did not have the size truck I reserved. I was Offered a smaller truck at a different location and accepted. I then arrive to pick up the truck to find out that they did not have any. I was then sent back to my original pickup location to pick up the smaller truck.

This U-Haul location on Hixville Road is the best around, I live in west Babylon and I drive all the way to Hicksville, all dealers in my area in west Babylon West Islip they’re not friendly at all, I am a customer that rents all the time, West Islip and West babylon will only rent to you for one day, That’s ridiculous

This is my third rental at this newly discovered location in my own hometown I am now on a first name basis with the owner TOM what a great guy very busy shop and always finds the time to focus on our transaction and very pleasant and professional again I am so grateful to have discovered an even closer outlet to rent equipment with such a pleasant experience I will be using this location Exclusively I almost was going to write off UHAUL completely because of past locations and treatment I had experienced this is the way I expect to be treated at every location after having been a customer for over 25 years with UHAUL and counting

Same size but they were scheduled for different days. This was no mistake. Someone assuming it was a mistake cost me $200 in paying movers hourly that did not have a truck to start on. I paid for both these trucks and have PDF receipt from Monday June 17th. Why would I pay for both trucks if one was a mistake? I received a confirmation email on Wednesday June 19th at 11:44 am confirming my reservation and guaranteeing a 20ft truck for me to pick up the next day on June 20th at 6:30 am like I paid for. At 10 pm I called and they tell me it’s canceled. So between noon that day and 10 pm when I called because the app wouldn’t find my reservation someone ASSUMED it would be okay to cancel the reservation I made a month before and paid for. Someone from traffic control tried to fix this the morning of the 20th at 7am (I was supposed to get a truck at 6:30 so now I’m already late) and I received a text which you’ll see attached in this email stating that there is a 20 foot truck available at the location I originally wanted. The place doesn’t open until 8 am. I uber over at 8 am and the man who owns the place states that he doesn’t have a 20 foot truck on the premises. By now I have movers at my house that I’m paying hourly to start loading my belongings onto a truck that someone canceled the night before. The man at the store looks through my file for about 20 minutes and sees when and where someone canceled my order without my knowledge the day before. They assigned me to a 15 foot truck. I have a closing at 3:30, movers at the house I’m wasting money on, and a time deadline I need my house packed up by. Due to this I take what I can get because I need to and take the 15 footer. Fast forward and now it’s 2 hours before the closing when the movers tell me there’s no way all of our belongs are fitting. This was the reason I ordered and paid for a 20 foot truck and not a 15 foot truck like they gave me. We have the buyers of our house coming for a walk through at this point in 30 minutes and our house is still not packed (which it is supposed to be). In a panic I call back the man from the store, Tom Lipera (520 Hicksville Road, Massapequa Ny) and ask him to give me the biggest thing he has. I get a 10 foot truck. Now it’s time for the closing and the house is not finished so we have to have my father in law come and supervise the movers while they’re packing. Since we weren’t finished packing due to the delay in starting and the cancellation with our truck, we had to place $500 in escrow at our closing until it was proved that we were 100% moved out since the buyers saw we still were packing when they came for the walk through. Another headache. Now we are done and we have 3 trucks and only 2 drivers for a 3 hour drive. We have the original 20 foot truck my husband picked up on 6/19 that we had no issues with, the 15 foot truck, and now a 10 foot truck. As you can tell from the length of this email we were SEVERELY inconvenienced in ma
