Uhaul needs to be more clear about their pick up times and locations. The location I reserved was not the location I picked up from. I waiting at the wrong uhaul location for 40 mins, calling the number that confirmed my pick up time twice before realizing my pick up location had been changed on me. In fact, I picked the truck up from a location that wasn’t even supposed to be open on Sundays. I’m glad they were able to schedule a Sunday pick up, but it made it hard to know where I was going.

Hopefully the information below will be helpful. My experience with renting a uhaul 6x12 trailer was not a good experiences. Below are the reasons why hopefully there are some useful takeaways from a customer perspective here. - First the uhaul employees on the phone and both ends where I picked up and dropped off were wonderful. - The website to self register was wonderful but it seemed to not communicate well with the IT systems at the local uhaul sites. For example, I registered online putting in my preferred pickup/drop off location. Per the instructions on the website I visited my local uhaul location a couple days before picking up the trailer to have them check my hitch/ball. At that time he told me I was not showing up on their schedule and if I really wanted to pick it up at that location that I need to call this 800 number and tell them that I really wanted to pick it up at that location and it would then show up on their schedule. I called and it showed up on his schedule. - I tried to find the hitch size on the website without luck. I called the local uhaul location to get the needed hitch size. I told them I currently have a 1 7/8 hitch and she let me know they use a 2” standard size so I purchased a 2” ball special for the trip. When I picked up the trailer I changed the ball in the parking lot and the guy told me my existing 1 7/8 would have worked because the uhaul hitches are universal and clamp down on the size ball you have as long as the pound rating was ok. Basically, I didn’t need to buy the larger ball that I’ll likely never use again. - When I picked up the trailer they didn’t have the preferred drop off location that I selected on the website another example of the website not talking with the local site IT system. I had picked the specific site because it was going to be open on Saturday until 5 and someone would be around when I dropped off the trailer because I was dropping off on Saturday rather than the Monday which was the 3 days. His local application showed the sites that were close by but mine wasn’t listed and it only showed him the times they were open on Monday not when they were open on Saturday when I would be dropping off. We picked on that he assured me had 24/7 drop off capabilities since the one I wanted wasn’t on the list. - Saturday at 4pm I want to drop off the trailer at the site that said they had 24/7 drop off and they were closed. The gated area where the trailers were stored was locked up tight. I called uhaul and they said it should be open but it wasn’t. They told me I could leave the trailer on the street but it was not in a good neighborhood and I was dropping off two days early because we were done with it. Didn’t feel good about that so we looked up another uhaul location that was open until 6. We phoned the other drop off location that was open and asked if we could drop it off over there. They said yes but we had to change the destination address first so we wa

I returned my rental after I had to call the corporate office to get my previous problem resolved thought they fixed it. But I got halfway to the grocery store after I dropped off the usual. I get a call saying my payment didn't go through. Finds out they were charging my card twice. so I have been in limbo since I got here. He gave me a discount for what oplikea did to me. So I had to get a promisery note and wait for the charges to drop of my card before I go back to pay and sign paperwork. I will not use uhaul again. Not cool and not what it used to be. This experience should be under investigation. And the people in Alabama should be fired.

Nothing to do with Quinn's directly, but I had contract/system issues when they tried to check-out the truck to me. I had prepaid at my preferred location, but in the end, the truck and tow dolly came from two different places and it was a mess getting my "refund". I also didn't feel comfortable signing my name to a contract that had an amount double than what I already paid. We literally were on the phone 30 minutes with the main distro office. Not sure why it was so complicated "checking in", but other than that, service here was great and very helpful.

Trailer needs to be thoroughly cleaned on the inside. Excessive dirt in door corners, sides transfer dirt & grease to furniture, sliding door had grease on inside.
