I arranged for a trailer 7 days in advance to be picked up at 8am. When I received confirmation a few days later, they changed my time. Was told I couldn't have a trailer till 12:00 noon or maybe 11am. I was not very happy with the person I spoke with. She was not friendly. When I picked up the trailer the signal wasn't working and I had to wait an hour to get it fix. By the time it was taken care of I had lost some time. I had to bring the trailer back by 4pm and I had to rush to move my stuff.

I HAVE YET TO OBTAIN THE KEY TO THE LOCK ON MY STORAGE UNIT THERE FOUR DAYS AGO AN EMPLOYEE AGREED TO PUT ON FOR ME , THAT WAS 11-19-18 AND THE 24 hr ACCESS CARD DIDNT WORK WHEN I WENT TO UNLOAD THE LAST OF MY BELONGINGS..AS A RESULT I HAD NOWHERE TO TAKE IT AND HAD TO LEAVE IT IN THE BACK OF A PICKUP I HAD BEEN RENTING FROM THIS LOCATION AT THE HOTEL PARKING LOT ..AND I HAD REQUESTED TO KEEP THE TRUCK LONGER AND WAS DENIED DUE TO AN EMPLOYEE HAD RESERVED IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE. I HAD ASKED THE EMPLOYEE IF I COULD RENT ONE AT ANOTHER LOCATION AND SHE SAID YES AND TOOK ALL THE INFORMATION INCLUDING MY BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND ASSURED ME I WOULD HAVE ANOTHER PICKUP WHEN I RETURNED THE OTHER THERE ..I WOULD JUST HAVE TO GO PICK IT UP AT THE OTHER U-HAUL , AS I DIDNT WANT TO BE WITHOUT A VEHICLE , AND I HAD ALREADY SPENT ALMOST $2000.00 IN RENTAL TRUCKS AND EQUIPMENT THAT WEEK , I AM GOING TO CONTACT CORPORATE OFFICE ON ALL OF THESE EVENTS, AND I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE..I WAS NOT TREATED THE WAY A CUSTOMER SHOULD HAVE BEEN ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAD SPENT ALL THE MONEY I DID.THERE ARE OTHER EVENTS NOT MENTIONED. I WILL WAIT TILL I HEAR FROM SOMEONE IN THIS MATTER AND THEN COMPLETE MY COMPLAINT.

After being issued a defective trailer, the staff attempted to falsely diagnose my truck as defective for over an hour before getting another. In the future, it would be great if they had any reaction at all to me telling them it’s a physical impossibility for the fuse to be defective, because I wired the trailer connection in parallel with the tail lights, meaning they have the same fuse, which were working perfectly. ESPECIALLY when one tail light on the trailer is working, indicating my truck is indeed supplying power. I trust my next experience will not be like this, but I still won’t schedule an appointment immediately after when I pick up a trailer, so I don’t miss another one.

The U Haul was not clean. The interior smelled like a cigar and was sticky with a residue on the console and passenger seat that I cleaned. I did not enjoy driving this vehicle. The smell made the driving very unpleasant.
