Truck was blocked in and interior was not clean from previous. Even using the app took me close to an hour to pull out of there. The place smelled like homeless people. And the WORST part, was that I got the truck with 1/4 gas left in it. So I had to stop and get gas before anything. Ended up dropping $90 to fill it up and barely used any of it. I just did not want to have to refill it up when I dropped it off. Now I know better for next time to just do like $20-30 and it'll last... Wasted time and Money on a very stressful day. Not my cup of tea...

Two of the staff wasn’t very friendly, the third is pretty helpful and polite. When I was checking the van, one of the staff didn’t even mention the scratches they already know, feels like a trap for me if I didn’t mention the scratches.

There was a man pissing on the south side of the Uhaul building. Uhaul should try to minimize the loiterers in the McDonalds parking lot, even if Uhaul doesn't operate that lot.

I came here to pick up the furniture dolly after the first location I had made a reservation at did not have one. I was very pissed off at the first place for how bad their customer service was, but this location was fine. Service was much better here.

It’s annoying to rent a truck only to find the gas gage less than one half. Trucks should be on full ir at the very leadt 3/4. You don’t want to start a move by stopping to get gas, especially since the rental was on a time based.

I was highly distraught that I absolutely had to give out a second phone number so the store clerk could call someone to verify me at 7:30am. I ordered a truck that I should’ve been able to do the whole process without human interaction. But your website wouldn’t allow me to rent hand dollies because there was low inventory in the store. So I had to go in. I repeatedly told the clerk that I live alone with no family and my coworkers would be sleeping at 7:30am and it didn’t make sense to enforce making me provide a cell phone number of someone who was awake at that early in the morning just so I could rent hand dollies. The truck had so many dent and scratches, that after dealing with the overly meticulous clerk inside I was worried to return the truck and have to deal with someone equally as persistent. Also, you do not offer student discounts, which isn’t comparable to other companies.

This location was great. I went to another location before and wasted 2 hours of my day trying to use the mobile app to get a car. Couldn't log in couldn't get my truck. Customer service couldn't help me. No one ever told me to download app prior to getting there as it may have helped me get truck. Weak sauce.

My significant other and myself just moved across the country from Georgia to California, and Uhaul made our arrival into California EXTREMELY stressful, in addition to charging us money they promised we would not be charged. We were supposed to arrive Sunday, and Uhaul "promises" one month of free storage for a cross country move. We were told by one employee the facility we would be returning the truck to, and storing our furniture, was open 24 hours, and we were arriving at 4:30 PM. We hired movers to arrive at the same time we were supposed to, and just wanted to call Uhaul to verify that we would be able to unload everything into storage and return the truck. It's a good thing we called because the employee at the reserved location told us they closed at 5 PM, and we "could call someone higher up if we wanted but no one would be *willing* to stay after hours". We wasted 3 hours of our time on the phone with various Uhaul customer service representatives only to be told the same thing, and that we could return the truck the next day and NOT be charged. They also told us we had a reserved storage unit. This forced us to pay for a night at a hotel last minute as we could not park a Uhaul truck at our Airbnb reservation. We just found out today upon calling Uhaul to request a refund, that you can, in fact, pay an additional fee for employees to stay longer for the exact purpose we needed. So the employee lied to us so he wouldn't have to stay late, costing us time AND money. When we went to the Uhaul location on Arapahoe St Los Angeles, NO ONE helped us, the location was disgusting, and homeless people were wondering through the parking lot yelling. We spoke with who I think is the manager, Yolanda Martinez, and she was rude and knew we needed help but briefly talked to us and then walked inside. We had our movers rescheduled for that day, and they came and waited with us and in total we wasted 2 HOURS waiting for direction, only for another RUDE employee to tell us that we DIDN'T have a reserved storage unit as Uhaul promised the day before, and that we would have to fill out additional paperwork to secure a storage unit that wasn't even the size we needed. Running out of time, we were forced to pick a storage unit downtown-FORCING US TO SPEND MORE MONEY-and luckily we had great movers who were understanding and helpful. We returned the Uhaul truck that day, and were charged for returning the truck one day late, even though we spoke to MULTIPLE employees/managers who told us we would not be penalized for their mistakes and incredibly poor customer service. We want a REFUND for returning the truck a day late and for money we had to spend on a storage unit that Uhaul PROMISES in their contract. We were told we had to post a review in order for Uhaul to respond. What a joke of a company. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE MAKING A LONG DISTANCE MOVE.

Despite the website letting me reserve for 24/7 pickup when I arrived the staff was not helpful and said they “don’t do 24/7 pickup anymore because people steal the cars” the van I reserved was not accessible it was blocked in by another van. They eventually got it out and gave me the key but it was not the smooth process described with self service.
