One of the employees was very helpful to me as I dropped off the Uhaul truck I rented. She showed me options for installing a hitch on my vehicle and looked up pricing for it-- great job to her. However, there was another employee, Ronald Matthews Sr., that completely ruined my experience with his appalling customer service skills. When I asked him where the nearest gas station was so that I could fill the tank, he told me he had no idea and did not offer to look it up or help me in any way. He told me I should just leave the truck and pay the extra fee for refueling. So I had to find the gas station on my own. Luckily it was not more than 4 blocks away. When i returned to the store and told Mr. Matthews that the gas station was just 4 blocks north so he could tell others in the future, he began yelling at me and arguing with me saying over and over that that "wasn't his job". When I tried to tell him it just would've been helpful, he insulted me and raised his voice without letting me speak. I have never been spoken to like this by an enployee, at any store. I hope you learn better hiring practices and training in the future so that people like Mr. Matthews understand the value of customer service, respect and communication. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store or any other Uhaul to buy or install the hitch on my car.

This was the THIRD location I had tried to drop off the truck; the first, listed on the site and the CHOSEN location, would not accept it and the second had no room. It is insane that your online services run this way and the customer service rep had no helpful way to resolve the issue except for saying "not all onlinel ocations can accept returns" --- THEN DON'T PUT THEM ON YOUR SITE. And furthermore, it is ridiculous that no discount was offered after making the return process 3 hours longer than it needed to be. For this reason I will never rent from Uhaul again.

I had to drive (pay for) ten extra miles, after the regional office transferred my reservation and pre-checked in from the location that was convenient for me to another that was further because the one I needed was closed on that day. And when I arrived to the location the person from the regional office hadn't transefered it. The Staff had to ask for it to be transferrred, I had to work for my own service, I resereved, pre-checked, research a new location (with regional) and then go through it again at the counter, AND pay extra

I don't know what is going on but I believe your company manipulates gas gauges. I had to put 5 gallons of gas in the truck after gong 25 miles. I'm reporting this to the city and the city attorney. It is obviously a company policy to screw people over - the truck also bordered on unsafe to drive the wheel alignment was so far off.

The best part about this experience was the lovely gal at the front desk. She was extremely sweet, accommodating, and just generally awesome. The guy who ran the lot (Mike) was not as awesome - he was curt, disinterested in our problems, and overall a meh individual.
