Teach employees not to be rude to customers. Maybe send them to customer service training. They treated me like a criminal. I am a retired disabled veteran and never stolen anything in my life. Did not want to rent to me due to having only one phone. I am disabled and do not work. Had to give a family members phone number and wait for employee to call and make sure I am not a thief. I felt very degraded and discriminated against.

The person who helped me hooked a trailer that had exposed wires that shorted out my entire electrical system. I have photos to show the wiring. He was rude and I had to spend $23.00 on fuses. I spent 3 hours fixing and replacing fuses.

We had our reservation cancelled two days before a 80 minke on wat move. We booked a 24-foot truck, and was offered a 12-foot trick. Instead of picking up the truck in Novato and doing one trip, I had to drive to Lodi for a 17-foot truck. We ended up making three trips, which costed us $275 in gas and $350 in extra mile fees. We also were charged 3x days of rental because of the extra trips.When we explained the situation, the manage credited the account $50. We should have been credited $300. Very dissipating and will write reviews on yelp and tell other folks to stay away and go to budget!

I have rented many trucks from Uhaul and have had no problems. I have needed to rent the truck for an extra day or two without any hassle. This last time I had rented the 26 foot truck and needed it an extra day . I called the Lodi office and requested the extra day and air was told no. I explained that the truck is full. I was told to empty it and get it back right now. They called me every 15 minutes wanting to know how much longer. So I had to unload it at the place I had just packed up. Wasn't able to get it to my destination. Then when I took it back in I was charged another day!! I was told it was either a $150 late fee or $39 for an extra day but didnt get to keep the truck!! Plus they also got the money from the next person who rented it that day. They got paid double for the truck. AND my stuff is right back where it was! I might as well have just thrown the $182 I was charged in the garbage! I didn't get to move my things anywhere. I don't have that kind of money to do that. I was in tears when I left. Awful experience. I will never rent from Uhaul ever again and will discourage anyone I know that is thinking about renting from Uhaul and tell them how bad I was ripped off and how the Lodi office did not care of the situation they were putting me in. I still have to move my stuff and can't afford to rent another truck. I have no idea how I'm going to do it. Thanks Uhaul.

When originally booked, I moved locations and was told that they would honor the price. I confirmed multiple times and was told yes over the phone. It was clear that she was wrong cause when I was going to pick up the truck at my new location, the price had doubled. I had to cancel this booking and book elsewhere. Once I rebooked in Lodi, Ca he got my phone number wrong so I could never give Uhal my number in system. My address was imputed wrong, and they charged the wrong card, my fathers when they specifically said I would be able to close out the account once upon dropping off my truck. I've asked to reverse the payment so I can write it off for moving purposes and I still have yet to hear back, resulting me chasing any way I can. Overall this was a terrible experience, I would most likely not recommend Uhal to a friend. I feel like my experience has absolutely been a let down. Ive talked to about 8 people, only two of them were nice and knowledgable. The others were often rude when they sensed my frustration. I also feel like the system and technology your company has is very outdated, unorganized, and does not accommodate the customer when it comes to and experience such as booking, reserving, picking up and dropping off, instore, online or on the phone. I feel like if I'm going to do this in the future I would book with another company who has the willingness to cater to their clients. I've dedicated about 2+ hours of my time trying to get clarity on bookings and CC payments that absolutely got botched due to people not fully understanding their roles and responsibilities and what they need to accurately communicate to the customers of Uhal.

Tried to rip me off for an extra gallon of gas. Claimed could only measure fuel in 16th (this is not in rental contract) and tried to charge me for 3 gallons. When I told counter person this was not acceptable he said there was nothing he could do. Even worse was his asst who kept laughing while I was talking. When I asked him why he was laughing his response was "cause I can laugh". Asked to speak with mgr who, of course, was not around. I went back to gas station and put in 1.5 gallons which brought me up to required amount.

Have the vehicles ready for rent that a customer really needs or wants. Not trucks that are there but can't be rented because of maintenance required get them maintained and rent them.

The owner was ill informed on policy and posted policy on website. The owner could not process me, took 38 minutes finally Alex tried and went through. Literally took longer to check out than I had the truck. Poor knowledge of consumer laws by owner.

Prices should be rated for s single day, paid $150 dollars for a three day rental service, $75 dollars is more appropriate a single day.
