This rental experience was less than optimal in many ways. First, days before my scheduled pick up, I was called to say that the west Nashville location was no longer available and I would need to drive over 30 miles west of Nashville to pick up a trailer. I asked for the ability to pick up the trailer east of Nashville and was told to pick it up in Lebanon, TN. Upon arrival at the location at the appointed time, after waiting around for quite some time because "the computers were down", I was told that the pick up location had changed, but no one called to let me know and I had to backtrack 15 miles back to the new pickup location. Once there (which is a local service station that has seen much better days) it took forever to pick up the rental as the attendant was having to pump gas as customers arrived. When I finally was able to get my rental processed, the system was down and the attendant was not able to process my credit card payment. No suggestions were made for how to proceed with picking up the rental until I called the Nashville UHaul president whose cell number happened to be posted at the location. He used my phone to walk the attendant through the process of allowing me to go ahead and pick up the trailer despite still not having processed the credit card payment. In speaking earlier with a UHaul rep when I found I out I was going to have to backtrack an additional 10 miles she offered a discount on the rental which I appreciated. The attendant at the pick up location was nice enough, but was clearly stumped on the computer issue. My previous rental experiences with Uhaul have always been positive and professional. This pick up did meet my expectations based on past experience and I assume it also did not meet the internal expectations of UHaul.
Service was prompt and the proprietor was courteous. I also appreciated the fact that he wore a mask and practiced social distancing - a rarity in this part of Tennessee.

The booking process was tasking because the site kept showing me locations that did not have the equipment I needed. Once I found a location that did, though, it was fantastic. Just don't show locations that don't have the specific trailer needed when searching.
This rip off artist was trying to pad our bill from the beginning. He tried to add the insurance we clearly declined in the reservation. We caught that but we turned the equipment in early but they didn't process the contract until the day after we turned in the equipment so we got charged an extra day we didn't have the equipment. Now the third won't respond to our request for credit.
The overall experience was not a good. My phone number is 615-243-2474? My issue was not only with this location.
I had limited dealings with the service station I picked the truck up from. However, the customer service on the phone was amazing. I talked to a few different people due to some issues and they were all very kind and offered quick response.
Everything was great here at this location.
Great all around. Dont want to berate the equipment maintenance. It was an older trailer and the quality of the closure mechanism reflected that. Par for the course.

We rented U Haul trucks and equipment from White's Service Station several times, Our move from Lebanon TN to Scappoose OR was the biggest move yet. Mr White was always very helpful and courteous. Thank you White's Service Station. Our move was successful in large part because of your great service! We definitely will always choose U Haul for our moving and storage needs!!

This was the 2nd time I dropped off a rental at this location, very helpful & easy to do business with
The staff told me they had a trailer (dolly) that would fit my truck - I told them the vehicle information on the phone. When I got there, he said they "the system" had no trailers that would fit....because he didn't check the system earlier and guessed over the phone. I asked him to make sure on the phone because I had to walk there, he said it would be fine...and it was not fine. So, I get there and rent the truck. He tells me, a local U-Haul nearby has a trailer (auto transport) for my truck and I can just rent the 15' and go pick it up. He said he called to confirm. I rented the truck and showed up at the other shop off of Tater Peeler Rd. The guy at this shop tells me, the auto transport will not fit my truck either and I should have been told that by the other guy... Throughout this ordeal, my phone had no reception as I needed this in an emergency due to my vehicle crashing on I-40E during a cross-country move. I told him about my situation from the beginning and I feel like my time was thoroughly wasted and the level of incompetence demonstrated was profound. I will NEVER use U-Haul again, thanks to this person.
The fellow running Whites Service Station was a good guy.
I had to assist with the pick-up - I had a coupon code, and had to tell pick up location how to apply the coupon to my order. I'm a web developer, so seeing the website allowed me to tell him how to use my coupon code, and how to process the coupon and my credit card. Location forgot to include the moving blankets when I picked up the trailer. Luckily I was only 4 minutes away, so I had to go back and pick them up.
We reserved the trailer in Lebanon a few weeks in advance and you call us the day we are to pick up the trailer and we had to go 40 miles out of our way to pick it up in Smith County instead of the location where we had reserved the trailer.
My only problem was with U-Haul, notifying me by cell at 5:15 p.m., the night before I was to pick up my trailer, that I could no longer do so at my original location, and would have to go out of my way to a secondary dealer. Not particularly convenient and it cost me some time, on a tight schedule. All went without major difficulties, or you would have heard more from me. So be advised. Your arbitrary handling of unit assignments smacks of United Airlines' miss-handling of seat assignments. When my neighborhood dealer tells me that I have a trailer, and corporate arbitrarily overrides the arrangement at the last minute, you are asking for trouble.
Stacey was very accommodating. I was impressed with his service level even though he was having trouble confirming the reservation through your online system.
