Traveling to Galveston Tx for a cruise trip. Made all arrangements to get cargo trailer on 11/15 -11/17. Also for pick up 11/20-11/21; my father in law got here with no cargo. All 12 of us had no room for luggage. Borrowed a flatbed from a friend. My dad is 72 and there should have been a grace period for week day pickup- I’m very upset. This company large enough to be able to accommodate when elderly arrive 5:58pm circumstances happen. This was horrible- shame on whomever turned him away.

Thank you for the review reminder! Once I got settled I was going to sit down and figure out who I needed to talk to pertaining to my uhaul return. First of all the staff was fine but my return was very scary and unsafe! It's been a very long time since I've used uhaul but the return was not what I remembered. The drop off area for after hours was very dark and isolated and I couldn't just lock the truck and let the staff check it the next day. I had to use the link provided to check out the uhaul. It was after hours so it was already scary due to having to walk down an isolated and cringy street away from the location entrance. I had to take pictures on the phone, upload them of the inside and rear of the uhaul which took more time than I wanted to spend out there. I was alone and yes depending on your situation some customers may have to be alone when they do a return. In saying all of this, I love uhaul but I think the drop off after hours should be looked at a little closer at each location for safety reasons. At this particular location, you should not have to place the uhaul back in the same area where you picked up from during the day. There was more than enough room for several trucks at the office area for returns. Please contact me if you need more details. Thank you.

Communication was horrible! I personally have experienced one of the worst moments in ones live. I lost my son on 8/7/2019. Called Uhaul to schedule reservations. The initial process was great, after that everything went downhill. My reservation was completely changed and only was notified by via text. The location which it had changed to was CLOSED. So, imagine getting 4 kids out of bed on a Saturday morning to arrive to a place NOT open for business. Called your office and the youngamn was very helpful - he found another location after 30mims. Wen there to find out NO cash was accepted and a deposit was required. OMG!! Spent more time there, trying to figure things out...method of payment...deposit. Once completed- you guys texted - YET AGAIN a change. Having me to return truck to a location out my way and changed from original place I advised to return truck. The original place a block away from my storage. Get there to be told and that we need to go to another location. This was overwhelming and one the horrible I’ve ever experienced with UHAUL!

This experience was awful I will Never for the rest of my life use U-Haul Ever again I’ve never had a problem previously but I have received no help to resolve my issue this time U-Haul charged me for an extra day and it’s been a nightmare getting my money back I am extremely unpleased!!!

You need to go back to using forms, that way you employees go over everything and have you sign, because they will forget to tell you. I was not told that I needed to replace the gas, and was charged 16.00. I am not happy about that. That was something very important which should have been mentioned. Not wait tell you charge me and when I say something, she tells me , oh, it was in the contract. I feel as she didn’t tell me , thinking j would change my mine, not want to pay mileage and fuel. And I wouldn’t have wanted to pay both. I think you should have a specific mileage included and if you go over ,then you pay all over that . Teresa Henry 2149291828

The 1st location was not I we to pick up could not take to anyone I spent 2 1/2 hrs trying to get in the truck only to leave without a sore thumb over heated pissed off with no truck THAT LOCK IS THE DEVIL !!! Not to mention I had to call uhaul 4 time the call wait was 15 to 30 minutes once I was even hung up on The last person did get me in a truck and I was pleased everyone was friendly and very helpful

The worst experience ever and I will NEVER use this company again. Almost 2hrs of my time wasted with all of this online nonsense, that clearly is not efficient. Finally get the rental after almost two hours and then there was no key to the truck. Charges that were not clearly explained and the so called electronic contract was not received until hours later. Charging my account extra without approval. Have tried severe times to get help with matter can not seem to get anyone to help. Called collection dept numerous times about matter the two times that I did get to speak to a person. The first person was extremely rude and transferred me to another collection person when I asked to speak to her manger. The person that answered the second time was very helpful. She tried to get me answers but wasn’t so she referred me to the regional manger named Toby that was on 5/17/2019 it’s now late in the afternoon on 5/22/2019 still haven’t heard from him called corporate three times today all you get is a recording for 30 minutes. I literally got sent to THREE different locations! A little background, I was told that with the dolly on, I should not attempt to pack up with the truck. First one said my drop off got changed to a different one 15 minutes from there—staff there was not the nicest. Once I got to the location, it was closed and there was nobody to help me unhook the dolly from the truck so I could get my furniture off. I called the service number a couple times and received no answer. At the first location I went to I had asked if 1) this next location would be open and 2) if there would be someone that could help me unhook the dolly— to both questions I was told “yes.” After an hour of trying to make calls and finally getting a family member to drive out to try to assist us, customer service (very helpful) told me that I could go to a location 5 minutes from where I was. As I was about to leave the second location, the owner of the location arrived and said he could “guide us” to getting everything unhooked. At this point I was just frustrated and just rather go to the third location to drop off everything together and get help. Third location was very understandable and helpful— very nice people! Overall, it was such a hassle and very long process.
