I made an after hours drop off, which was s bit of a struggle due to limited space. The rep I spoke to on the phone the following morning was very helpful and the trailer was checked in already. I was well prepared with my own jack, but this would be a difficult location for anyone less prepared.

Uhaul has to upgrade its rental reservation system. This site has a major flaw. Overall, the rental site is user friendly, process the request and confirms the rental location pick up site. One to two days before the pick up date, an e-mail is receive and the pick up location is always changing. This is the third time my selected location is arbitrarily changed. This arbitrary change is totally not acceptable and forced me to drive and additional hour from my home to the ‘’uhaul selected’’ alternative site. These changes totally mess my move plans. I would like to express dissatisfaction with the services provided at "U-Haul" 183 Kenmount Rd, St. John's, NL A1B3P9 and 15 Campbell Reid Crt, Kanata, ON K2K1X7 U-Haul reps in the above branches are not caring about orders, clients' assistance, etc.  Namely :  1. I visited in person St. John's branch ~48 hours prior to start rental and asked to postpone the order to 9 a.m. of October 20 (Order # 26960414). The employee assured me that the order was rescheduled. On the morning of October 19, I received a phone call from U-Haul rep. - Chris asking me to pick up the car before 11 am or from 3 to 5 pm Oct. 19th. To my explanation of the order change to Oct. 20th at 9 am, an employee in the ultimatum manner repeated many times, not paying attention to my comments that no changes were made or can be made and that I should pick up the car at the time indicated by him. Our conversation lasted for half an hour and Chris did not want to listen to any explanations or try to find some reasonable solution. 2. The towed unit (Auto Transport) for my car was selected/suggested by U-Haul reps (Order # 99760411) when I visited St. John's branch ahead of time to make sure that I order proper equipment. It turned out later, when I came to pick up the equipment that towed unit was not suitable for loading and unloading any type of light cars, but only for SUV's/Trucks, etc.. When I connected the towed unit to the truck and tried to drive onto towed unit, I hit the bottom of the car. The worker who was nearby began to assure me that there was nothing to worry about and that I should drive /get on the ramp faster, saying that the towed unit would balance under the car weight and change position. After I refused to drive on and explained to the rep. that this towed unit is not suitable for my or any light car, I demanded to find a solution to this problem. U-Haul rep. suggested using a backroad ramp behind the U-Haul facility. To my natural question, how do I unload a car in Ottawa (my final destination), I was told that I would be provided with all the necessary assistance for this. Upon arrival to Otava, I was not only left without assistance of resolving this issue, but I was told that this is my issue and I need to find a way to resolve it. , and he pointed to the U-Haul logo: U-Haul and told me - that means You do all. In the ultimate form, I was told that I only have 15 minutes for unloading before the branch closing and that even if I unload the car I can’t leave it near the U-Haul building for even a few minutes since there is no parking available. In the end, I had to disassemble a similar towed unit parked at the U-Haul and used some improvised materials found in the near forest.  In my opinion, this is in the highest level unprofessional behaviour and customer service on both sides of the Ottawa and St. John's branches. 3. The last point of proof of disorganization was the fact that in my contract and in the U-Haul system it was not

Had trouble trying to use your web base program when returning the van. Although I verified that my phone was set up to share its location, your program could not pick it up. When I attempted to get phone assistance via your 800 number, I sat on hold for 10 minutes before giving up.

The workers were rude. You also can’t leave your car there. I went to park on the street but the neighbours yell at you even tho it’s 3 hr parking. What was I supposed to do? Drive 2 vehicles? I’m sorry but if you pay to rent a truck, that should all be included with the price. Space is expensive? Then don’t own a Uhaul business. I’ve rented 4-5 trucks in 2 months (Most from Conventry rd location) to be treated like this? Unacceptable
