The pick up of the U-Haul took way too long. I opted for mobile pick up and the manager had set aside the wrong truck and I had to wait for the change and come inside the store and process everything inside. It was very inconvenient given I was 8 months pregnant and it was pouring rain that night. Very disappointing

Very poor experience. No one told about the additional 20$ for convenience fee for returning the vehicle after business hours...kind of felt like being cheated. Will never recommend in future..also the staff are not friendly ..... overall not a good experience

20 mins into driving this truck I noticed 1/4 tank gas already gone and the truck was not going into gear properly. I immediately called this office & asked the woman (I believe her name was Alicia) if the light on the dashboard (TOW HAUL) had anything to do with the immense gas consumsion and I was sure the gears not shifting correctly and asked if any other customer has complained about this. She replied "NO, NOBODY HAS EVER BROUGHT THIS UP & THE LIGHT SHOWING "TOW HAUL" HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GAS CONSUMPTION". On my drive back to UHaul I had to get gas (even though I knew I should not have had to buy gas already), I asked a guy at the gas station and he showed me the button to shut off the "TOW HAUL" and instantly the truck drove normally again and the gas was being consumed normally, AFTER I called UHaul and AFTER I had to buy gas to put back in the truck!!!! IT ABSOLUTELY HAD TO DO WITH SHUTTING THIS LIGHT OFF!!! The truck smelled like cigarette smoke terribly and I am highly allergic. I had no choice because they had no other truck the size I needed and the 2 men I hired to move me were waiting!!!! NO WAY SHOULD THIS TRUCK USE THIS MUCH GAS AND IF THE WOMEN TOLD ME ON THE PHONE TO SHUT OFF THIS TOW HAUL FEATURE I WOULD NOT HAVE WENT THROUGH WHAT I DID THE FIRST 3/4 OF THE TIME I HAD THE TRUCK!!! I RETURNED THE TRUCK AT APPROX. 5:30 P.M ON 12/15/19, the detail guy took my contract, told me to leave the keys in the truck and leave the door open. He told me to get my belongings out of the truck and I did. After I put my things in my car, I went inside the office to use the restroom and asked the man at the counter what else I needed to do to finish the return process and he said 'NOTHING, THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO" so I left. This morning 12/16/19 I got a text from UHAUL SAYING I NEVER RETURNED THE TRUCK!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON??????????? THIS WAS AN AWFUL, AWFUL EXPERIENCE & I WAS A LOYAL UHAUL CUSTOMER FOR YEARS!!! To wake up thinking the truck I returned was stolen has made me physically ill. I called UHaul and they don't show the truck being returned so he said he would make a note and have somebody call me back. I've been waiting 2 hours for somebody to call me and let me know what the Hell is going on!!!

My experience with the pick up and drop off centers was excellent. However, I am troubled that our reservation was changed twice after we had reserved truck online. I was enroute via public transit to pick up truck when the second change occurred. At least they caught me before I arrived and wouldn’t have had a truck.
