This is my second time using this location and they made the drop off quick and easy.
Only 1 person working when I picked up and one person working when I dropped off which caused delays for me and others in line to be helped. There were at least 5 people in line on my pickup as well as return. Once I was helped the associate provided great customer service. This location appears to be understaffed.
I can't speak for everyone, but my experience at this location was excellent even though they were slammed. My 15Ft. Truck got me to my location 800+ miles without a hiccup. The staff went over functionality and and answered all of my questions before taking leaving the site. My highest rating because I had no problems even at the turn in site.
The "skip the line" directions with the QR code did nothing. It still took 25 minutes at register. I uploaded my DL, still had to hand it over to the cashier. I did check-in on the computer, still had to do it all over again. And I have a business account! AND...there was no hand sanitizer anywhere and none of the staff were wiping down anything - door handles, POS buttons, countertops - nothing. Very alarming that there was not even an attempt to appear like they were trying to keep the customers safe.
Have truck ready when customers arrive for pickup. Have enough staff for end of month when most people are moving
My truck was dirty and did not smell pleasant when I go it. It also had only a quarter tank of gas. Later on towards the end of the move, I discovered the light in the back did not work making it impossible to continue unloading for the evening. I then had to add an extra day because of it. When I called uhaul the next day, the agent I spoke to was quite unpleasant and made me feel like I was bothering her and it was a big deal that I was keeping the truck an extra day. She said that I wasn't able to continue renting because the truck was needed for other people. I told her that when I originally booked the rental it was for two full days but the agent at the store persuaded me to only do one. She allowed the extra day but begrudgingly. As far as the rental location, I would call it nothing short of a shitshow. It's understaffed and the layout is very confusing. Long wait times and frustrated employees. I watched a poor child trip and fall over a trailer hitch because there's equipment all over the place. Sometimes I wish uhaul wasn't the only rental company out there.
Make sure that the truck battery is charged. When we stopped to put gas in the truck we were unable to get the truck restarted. We were paying movers by the hour. it took over 45 minutes to get the truck restarted. When we called UHAUL for assistance we sat on hold for over 20 minutes. My husband was able to get the truck restarted by working on the battery cables which were loose. UHAUL did not offer any compensation for the movers that were just sitting and getting paid.
Not a thing. The service was outstanding, the people were great !
It was an overall great experience and we will definitely be back and tell others!

I had a confirmed reservation to rent a pick-up truck. I arrived on time for the pick-up and was told there were none available. I showed my paperwork with the confirmation number but the gentleman said vehicles were stolen all the time and although a police report was made for some reason the vehicle info isn't taken out of the computer making it seem that vehicles were available when they weren't. My reservation was moved to 11400 San Jose Blvd. I had 3 people waiting at my house to help me. As I was leaving a female employee asked what was going on (if she wasn't a manager she needs to be). This woman said a pick-up was available but now I had to wait for the reservation to be transferred back to 5481 Normandy Blvd. I'd completed the online pick-up information and was told I should be in and out in 5 minutes. I was there 45 minutes. Somehow the pick-up truck became unavailable (cleaning it from the last customer I was told by the gentleman who was processing my reservation). I ended up with a 10" box truck but was very anxious the entire time I was there due to the delay and conflicting information I was being given. I feel I should have received a discount for the inconvenience I was put through but that didn't happen. Once I left the facility the rest of the experience was good. I didn't have any issues with the box truck and the check-in process was easy.

Maybe it was because of my situation, but I did do express entry but found it pointless. I still had to go to the front desk to grab the key. Thought it would be in my seat.
The gentleman who helped me in Jax was excellent! Great customer service and attitude. I wanted to personally commend him but the pick up was so quick, I didn't catch his name. Per contract, it may have been Kirk Altman? Great experience
Service was not up to par...
I am thankful for customer service for fixing my dilemma the day of. I would appreciate it if there is a limited truck availability or any issue to be contacted directly at least 24 hours in advance. To find out as O was preparing to pick up the truck was the most frustrating experience out of it all.
That day, was very easy and smooth and the associate on duty that day was very polite and handled a large rush of people with ease. Everyone got taken care of and he was just really nice. I will recommend this place from now on and use it when I move again.
Cashier was very helpful, trailer did not hurt my trucks suspension. Totally worth going back in the future.
Rented a cargo van. Never was divulged that it ONLY took E83 gas. Got to Macon, GA 10pm. Took an hour to find station with gas. I'm 65 yrs old driving my disabled 62 yr old brother to new assisted living facility in TN. Tried calling Uhaul just to ask how to deal with gas situation. Scared to put any other gas in van. What if engine blew up???? Same story coming back. Stopped in Hickson, TN for gas. Ended up going UHaul there and the two very nice general manager and her assistant made calls for 30 minutes to find the gas. I was almost in tears. I delivered van this morning. Clean. Told the manager, Kaitlyn the issues. I refused to pay for an extra day and I refused to refuel. Wasn't going to drive over hell's half acre looking for a gas station. I rated the Normandy location high bc the people working there were not at fault. Higher up the food chain should clearly inform the renters with sticker on dash, verbal information, location of gas stations on route. Thank you.
Only complaint, truck had very little gas, just over 1/4 tank. Luckily, I didn't have to go far so I didn't have to add gas, but I feel vehicles should have at least 1/2 a tank of gas.
