Rented U-Haul for 2 days. Husband picked it up , employee said “ all the damage is in the computer ( side of truck was hit) be careful and buckle up”. Loading truck we noticed repair to top of roof, literally nail-like row about 3 inches hanging down from where repair was. We had to keep our stuff Away in fear of it ripping. That night a storm rolled through, unloaded truck and a ton of water leaked through the “repair” all over our sofa, destroying all the cushions. Needless to say, furiously I called the uhaul place and they transferred me to insurance. Apparently water damage is EXCLUDED from insurance unless employee was negligent or at fault. In this case they were.. went into uhaul facility and they told me if they gave me a refund than insurance wouldn’t pay. Believing this I said fine. By the way, manager did look to see the poor repair in the roof and was embarrassed. Called insurance to verify that the no refund so insurance would pay police was correct, her response was “ uh, no comment”. Since my couch was several years old they would only pay 300 out of the 950 I paid even though I have no couch now..plus gabe me a little to help out with the “impossible” refund. Lesson learned, will not deal with Uhaul again.

I rated 3 stars because the manager redeemed the location from what was going to be one star. I was originally told one thing regarding my rental, was told another when I stopped in just to confirm (double checking due to my OCD) and then told a third thing when I picked the UHaul up. The manager gave us a credit but the damage was done for us. We will be using a different rental service next month. The truck was beat up and full of scratches. They don’t provide anything to mark existing blemishes to have proof of what was already on the truck prior to rental. The guy walked around the truck upon check out and said he’s only doing it to make us feel better. We didn’t want to take a chance of getting blamed for one of the blemishes (some of them were extreme) so we took pics of all sides of the truck.

I wish they had shown me how to release the straps on the whells.I spent a lot of time trying to loosen them.I could not see how he put the ball on the trailer and secured it.He started it without me seeing him do it. I wanted to unhook it at my destination but did not dare do it . ? Why is there a 55mph on the ttraler?

The entire process was a fantastic experience. The young gentleman that help me hook the trailer up and made sure I had everything I needed before I left and that everything was safely and secure. And when I went for drop off the gentleman that our system me was absolutely fantastic. He was busy but he made time to make sure that I was I hate being able to help me in just a moment. His service was fantastic and his demeanor and communication was outstanding

We scheduled to pick our truck up at 7:00 am on a Saturday and only one employee was there to help everyone. We learned 2 employees hadn't shown up yet. He was great though! He kept his composure during a very hectic morning. He didn't have keys to the front door so we were ushered through a side entrance. As more customers arrived, they were waiting outside the front door and couldn't get in. The employee had to keep running outside to let them in. The first customer, who was at the wrong U-Haul location, decided this would be a good time to dispute a previous bill while at least 7 customers waited behind him. The employee was as accommodating as he could be but could not resolve his issues. When we finally got waited on, the 2nd employee showed up with a less then pleasant attitude. She was argumentative with the first employee when he told her he couldn't unlock the door and there were more customers waiting outside. It would have gone a long way if she just would have smiled, said hello to everyone waiting in line and apologized for keeping them waiting. Instead, she starting complaining about the 3rd employee who hadn't shown up yet. Kudos to the first employee for being calm, cool and collective throughout it all.

One of you employees has the worst attitude problem, very disrespectful to customer and was speeding thru the lot with my special needs son right there and was taking picture of our vehicle with personal phone saying the windshield was to dirty to take your equipment, I called GM and left message but have not received a call back

I tried calling to speak to someone but was on hold for the 20 minute drive I made to get there. There are 2 gentleman's behind the counter. But only 1 was able to check anyone out. The other one was brand new. Stood in line for a long minute. There was no air condition running where you are waiting in line part of the store. So sweated as I stood in line. But when you get to the counter its cooler.

The first truck that was given to me started to havr engine problems about a mile from the store. So after I talked to roadside assistance, they suggested that I take the truck back and exchange it. So I did. I got a good truck and was able to get my move done. And I was charged for the mileage in the truck that was broken down for my inconvenience too! Why is that? I should charge them for my time that was wasted in my day because of the inconvenience, but instead I had to pay more and I seriously doubt that Uhaul will do anything to reconcile this either....

JD quoted me at $166 for 1 day and $216 for 2 days with 400 miles. I was back in 12 hours and my bill was $329!! That's over much - even with the half tank of gas. I had rented 15 foot Uhaul trucks on the 3 previous weeks for less than this. I'm unhappy about the price not matching the quote.

Staff was efficient at their job, even though there was a line of over 10 customers the 2 fellows behind the counter were courteous and quick, making my wait painless (Less than 9 minute wait to get to the counter and get my paperwork). They were faster than the McDonald's drive through with 2 lanes. My walk around truck took no time, return was just as easy. Good experience.
