Truck was terrible, and then I got a gas surcharge when I returned it at the same level. Will not use U Haul again when Penske is readily available.

The front tires were balding badly - quite unsafe actually. At first it drove fine, but then it starting revving high in first gear before switching to 2nd gear. And the check in procedure was laborious and time consuming. The lady's English wasn't great and she had trouble verifying the order and getting me the keys. Also, everyone should be aware that, although the base price is $19.95, the way U-Haul makes you put in gas AND pay HIGH mileage, it's going to triple the price, typically. Mine came out to $78 today. Awful, and unsafe equipment. Also, very low gas when I picked it up.

ANDREW PPurchased fuel to refill to the mark and was still charged an additional 25.00$ for the same 25.00$ that he saw me put in at the location. Love UHaul, but won’t rent from this one again.
Eric AI booked my reservation online and got confirmation it was ready for pick up. I arrived at the location at 4:45pm and I didn't leave the location with my U-Haul until 5:45pm, which caused me to be very late. The gentleman at the Lake Express pick-up location was too novice on how the system worked and had to call a manager who was 10–15 minutes away, and there was little-to-no communication about why it would take a full hour to pick-up a U-Haul that I had confirmation for. The trucks are really bad. The windshield visors are falling and get in the way of seeing the road when you drive. There's pieces missing from the dashboard. Did the U-Haul truck get me to/from and accomplish what I needed? Yes, but I am not going to use that location or those U-Haul vehicles again and I will tell my neighbors to stay away.
