The check engine light came on while driving less than ten miles and then the truck broke down after delivery and wouldn't start and I had to turn it on by rolling it forward in neutral.
Self-Service app was confusing to gain access. Recommend creating/registering for acct at pickup. Also, the app did not allow the upload of pics, just a live photo taking.
The location was complicated to navigate within, and there was no staff or signage to assist when three trucks were being returned apparently at the same time. I also have yet to receive a receipt for the charges, which are higher than anticipated, and I would like to see what the breakdown was since I have already been charged.
In spite the young being a poly grad and i CITY, LOL. He was excellent, even the young man i reserved with the night before. They were respectful and remember their customers

You overcharged me. You charged me for 150 miles more than I used. We only drove 506 miles and you charge us for 676 miles.
The photos of the vehicle were not up to date. I had to take pictures and point out several areas of very noticeable damage that were present during my inspection.
I was alarmed to see an employee was not wearing a mask at the desk when I went in to drop off my key. Another staff member (who was appropriately masked) was talking with him within 6 feet of him, and therefore at risk of exposure. I stopped at the door and asked the unmasked staff member to pull up his mask, which he did, but only covering his mouth. He did not cover his nose. When I got to the desk, he tapped on the plexiglass and said that it was enough. That is not scientifically correct, because the primary purpose of plexiglass barriers is to prevent droplet transmission. They do nothing to protect anyone from airborne transmission. Even if COVID were not an airborne illness, the other employee would still be at risk, because the primary purpose of a cloth mask is for source control, not to actually filter the air that the wearer breathes in. Hundreds of thousands of people have died in the US from COVID. Over 9 million have contracted it. The best way we have to prevent more spread is by wearing masks correctly and consistently. Please educate and train your employees properly on this topic.

First, the truck I'd reserved through the app was given to another customer, while my credit card and account was attached to it. They employees were pissed at one of their coworkers who'd given the truck away and it seemed very disorganized. After seemingly sorting that out which added about 20 minutes of time I was given a new truck. I drove a mile before someone honked and told me it had a flat tire. I had to go to a gas station in a bad part of town, put air in it, and drive it back and get a new one. I wasted about an hour of time and was late to my appointment.
Nothing - the gentleman that helped me (I didn't catch his name) was awesome. He installed my trailer hitch, walked me through the process, and made the entire transaction simple and efficient.
The line of cars to be cleaned was so long and the manager was so busy that I could not get helped quickly at all. To be clear, the staff was friendly and professional, just swamped
I reserved a 20' truck in Catonsville but had to drive 15-20 miles to get a 15' truck from another location. Not sure why it allowed me to set up a reservation without availability. Completely banged up my schedule for the move.

I needed to change my reservation from one way to a return trip to Maryland. The staff neglected to inform me this would add $250 to the rental fee if I returned to the same location.

Location is understaff for amount of traffic that comes in. Uhaul has to do better with their schedule system. I was sent to a location that didn't have equipment in stock. So I was sent to another location across town which was Hampden location. No discount was applied for my inconvenience.
The truck I had ZERO gas! The light was on and no one told me that it was on E, yet I was given a gas credit before I left the lot! When I have an 6-8 hour window every second counts and trying to find a gas station is literally the very last thing. Then i was told I needed to have gas at a quarter in order to qualify for the gas credit! I have used uhaul hundreds of times and I always return in it to the gas level I was provided. Not to mention the young man I talked with was completely rude and literally told me to use my brain better! I will never use that location ever again. I didn't even get a text message or any information on the mileage of the truck before departing. Literally the worst experience I've ever experienced. It was awful and i hope that location gets all the training and support they need. If it weren't for the young lady's help at drop off I would have posted my experience and displeasure all over social media! This was a sh*t show and the managers and owners should all be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.

All representatives should follow COVID safety protocols. The rep at the desk took good care , but the rep who brought the van to pick up area was not masked.
