Equipment appeared in good shape. When we tested brake lights and signal lights, the manager was quick to say we were good. We found out shortly after that the right turn signaleft did not work. The computer system did not have the reservation correct; drop off point in Texas versus Seattle, Washington.

Arrived at 2pm on a Tuesday to a locked gate and unoccupied office (posted hours 9-5). Sign on window (next to open sign) stated "out of office, please call ___". Called three times before number was answered, employee was brusque, and claimed to be on lunch. Eventually, a gate code was provided in lieu of the employee attending the facility during business hours, and I was able to drop off my rental truck. Was unable to return unused boxes per buy-back guarantee as nobody was present. Attempted to return on Wednesday, only for an employee to refuse to make good on the 100% buyback guarantee for unclear reasons.

I have used this facility in the past but will not in the future. And I highly doubt I will ever work with U-Haul again. The truck that I was suppose to pick up at 10am did not arrive until 12:10pm. I realize that it is not the owner or managers fault but they should have been on top of this better to make sure there was a truck there for me at the time agreed. The bad part is U-Haul never contacted me about the mixed up for a replacement vehicle. You would think you would have more than one vehicle on the lot for mix ups like this. Also when I arrived to pick up the truck the managers face went flush as though he had forgotten I was renting a vehicle from him that day. I made the reservation directly with him the week before when I had rented a 10ft. truck.

I called and reserved a 6x8 uhaul trailer on Saturday morning and was told to pick up at Eagle Vail location off highway 6 "next to Big O Tires" they said. So I go to this location and knock and wait and search for another office in the building but come to find out that I was at the right office but it was closed. This was less than 2 hours after I reserved the trailer at this location that I traveled over to pick it up. So I make a call to Uhaul and they explain to me that my reservation is located in Gypsum. I explained that they told me to pick up in Eagle Vail and they said that location was closed and my pickup was in Gypsum. It upsets me that the operator that scheduled me in Eagle Vail didn't have the decency to call me back and explain that she had made a mistake not knowing that the Eagle Vail location was closed that day and she changed my pickup location. Its not a good experience to be at one location knowing you specifically were told it would be there and then calling in and being told I'm at the wrong location 45 min away. So oh well, that's what it was and I needed the trailer so I headed 45 min one way to Gypsum spending gas that I had not accounted for 1.5 hours round trip. So finally when I get to Gypsum I talk to the nice lady and she tells me that my reservation is for a 4x8 trailer and that was all that was available. I originally reserved a 6x8 trailer. So nothing I can do about it and I get the trailer and they tell me that I am returning the trailer to Alma CO. which is near where I would be unloading and was fine with that. The next day (sat evening) I get a call from a Uhaul rep telling me that the Alma location is shut down permanently so I would have to bring the trailer to Bailey which is very far away. She also explained that my rental was due back on Sunday, but I specifically told the original lady who scheduled me that I would need the trailer until Monday. I explained to this rep that would not work and dropping off in Bailey is too far away. She told me that late fees may be involved and I explained to her that it was not my fault that the dropoff location had been changed and that I would not pay late fees for such a situation and that if they wanted the trailer they could come and pick it up. Then I asked her to talk to a manager that was not available at the time but she assured me the manager would call me back the next day. I got no call the next day (Sunday). So Monday night I had unloaded the trailer and contacted the location that I had picked it up from explain the situation and the guy told me that I wouldn't be able to do a self dropoff there and would have to bring it in the next morning which wouldn't work out for me bc of work. He made a few phone calls then called me back to explain this to me and I told him I needed to drop the trailer off bc I was on my way to Glenwood Springs to pick up other things I had in a storage unit including a raft trailer. He tried to help but said I couldn't drop it

site managers Yahii and Mary were excellent and helpful beyond the norm. They are open on Sundays which was a huge help because of my schedule.I cant say the same for your customer service reps or the scheduling rep who was cold and uncaring to the fact that I was scheduled to pick up a truck on Saturday even though I spacefically asked for Sunday at Gypsum airpark location. I was told by the schedule rep that was not possible even though the gypsum airpark location was open on sunday and had two vehicles available. This is where Yahii the site manager took care of business , made some calls and got me a vehicle. This was great customer service, he is a great employee who cares about the customer and should be recognized by the company as such. People of this high character will bring me back as a customer again. Thank you, John Shea, a sastified customer.

When I picked up my trailer I was told I could drop it off in carbondale, CO which is a 45 minute drive from my home. Upon arrival, they said I had to drop it off in Gypsum, which because of road work ended up being a 3 hour trip each way. Upon arrival the numbers that uhaul gave to get a gate code for the facility were not answering, and it took the better part of an hour to resolve this. Ultimately this cost a lot of time and gas money, U-haul to date has not offered me any compensation for this, and I somehow doubt they will. In the future, I will probably simply rent a truck from penske as my pain-free experience with them outweighs the slight savings a trailer provided.

Not the location's fault, I received a call around 8:30 am saying my 20' truck was no longer available. They suggested I get the truck in Durango which is 5 hours from where I was supposed to pick the truck up. Ended up with a 15' which wasn't able to fit everything.
