Cómo funcionan los comentarios de U-HaulI originally booked a truck and dolly from the location on Speedvale Ave. in Guelph. You changed my reservation to York Rd. without consulting me. When I called to get it changed back, I was told that it was not possible. There was no apology for this. When I arrived at York Rd I was told that they only had the truck and that I would have to go Speedvale if I wanted the dolly. You should not take a reservation unless you can follow through with out. You should not change the reservation unilaterally. You should provide all the items rented at the location of pick-up as you indicated you would. I do not plan to rent from U-Haul again.
Ian FThis is the most modern and cleanest truck I’ve ever rented from U-Haul. That alone would keep me coming back, but the service was also excellent. Very pleased.
JASONJOHN TThere is nothing wrong with this location, but the entire process after the initial online booking was frustrating. U-Haul only guarantees the availability of the truck; they did not send the dollies and blankets I ordered, which I found out only the day before we needed the truck. We had a mad scramble to scrounge moving equipment on very short notice. I had to pick up the truck using the app, since it was before business hours, and was prepared with my drivers license and a fully charged phone, as required. I expected the checkout process to be five minutes; it ended up taking nearly half an hour with all the steps required, including an identify verification. Many of these steps could have been done beforehand. The truck had 90000 miles on it, and was on its last legs; fortunately the AC worked. Dropping off the truck was extremely frustrating. I stopped by the office during business hours, and was told to the use the app by someone who obviously had no idea how to handle U-Haul rentasl. The app is terrible. It says there are five steps to the drop off process. The first step is taking a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge. I ended up doing this three or four times, because the app jumped back and forth from step 1 to 2 to 1 to 3 to 1 to 5. I have no idea what step 4 is. In the end, the app said the truck rental was still active. I ended up turning in the keys to the office; fortunately someone else turned up who seemed have a clue, and said he would take care of it. I have absolutely no desire to ever use U-Haul again, and will go out of my way to avoid doing so.
Theo HNo instructions before taking the rental about the top-up the fuel before returning. Actual kms were less than estimated, Yet paid 6$ extra.
