I made the reservation at roper mountain road location (but they did not have a truck) and this person was very friendly and helpful. I went the next day to pick up the truck and the person at the wade Hampton location was not very helpful or friendly. He did not want to honor the reservation details for which I had an email confirmation from uhaul (number of included miles) and he was not initially willing to ask anyone else for help (he was very argumentative and confrontational with me). When he finally asked his colleague, it was resolved quickly. For the truck, the cargo area was perfect, but the console inside was very dirty (looks like a spill that was never cleaned). I did not notice until i left the lot, but one of the rear tires was below the acceptable tread level.

The car dolly i rented had problems which delayed my delivery to be unloaded . It cost me more money on the delivery/unloading end. Can i be reimbursed money because of this defect?

This did not affect me, but the line to pick up this morning was long...really long. The people behind me were getting a little angry. There was only one person working behind the counter at 9:00 AM - he was working as fast as he could, but a second person behind the counter this morning would’ve really help. Thank you.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The only situation I found a bit disconcerting was the van was inundated with the big smell of smoke. Everything was great with the experience of u-haul except the van smelled like an ashtray.

When I picked up the truck, the gas gauge was around 3/4 full. The service person said I returned the truck, it needed to be around that same range. He even circled an area around the 3/4 mark. When I returned the truck, he said the gauge needed to be above the 3/4 mark and charged me an extra $8 something. I have rented from this location 9 times in the last several months and I was very disappointed to have this happen.

Had only one problem, which had nothing to do with Greenville, with a metal strap that cut the white wire sometime on Tuesday morning. So the trailer lights went out somewhere between West Monroe LA and Temple Texas. I know the trailer lights were working before daylight.

The Truck I rented was clean and functioned well. The problem with this location is they lied to me about how much gas was in the tank of the truck when I started the rental. There was no full tank, there was only 3/4ths of a tank of gas. They forgot to load my packing pads and I had to come back to get these. Everyone inside the place was sitting on their asses and I had to ask several times for help in getting boxes, bubble wrap, and a hand truck. I should not have to do this. They should be on top of their game.

Be more transparent as far as rates, both during the week and weekends. Why are yall charging. 99 a mile when truck drivers don't get paid that much and have you seen the price of gas???!!! Smh

Trailer had dirt and a beer bottle cap inside - I thought the equipment was supposed to be cleaned between uses? I also had to tighten the hitch after a couple of mile of driving - wasn't even close to tight. Tires needed air as well.

Power steering works intermittently, windshield washing fluid pump did not work. Front end alignment way off. Lots of shaking and rattling in this old truck. Ask for a newer truck was told the new ones were for local only. Very rude, not helpful whatsoever, had wrong gas level marked on rental paper and got a negative reaction when asked to please correct the level. When I drop truck off at end of trip they said the level change was not entered into computer. Been renting from U-Haul for years this has been an absolute horrible experience or customer service and equipment. Request that U-Haul contact me in regards to this rental. Thank you

Zero stars was not an option, so I had to give at least one. Walking into the office to checkin, I was greeted by one employee at the counter while the other two were too busy playing on their phones to even look up. The guy who did assist me was obviously new. I’m fine with that! He was courteous and was doing his best. He did have quite a few questions for his supervisor during the process. The supervisor was annoyed and rather rude when his game was being interrupted to help. They didn’t have the moving pads previously requested on the reservation and I was told people get them and don’t return them. Sorry. Finish up the paperwork the guy asks his supervisor which truck he should assign and the response he got was “I don’t care. The keys are one the board.” The clerk grabs a set of keys, hands them to me and says “The number on the key will match the number on the truck.” I asked if it was parked in the space indicated on the key and he says “probably no, you’ll just have to drive around and look for it.” Okay... After two laps of the parking lot, still no truck. My husband found the correct truck (26’ truck) parallel parked between two other truck, inside the fence of the storage units. Really?!!? Four 26’ trucks backed into parking spaces along the drive way. The truck we are given is BURIED! Somehow hubby managed to maneuver the truck out and navigate through the tight ties of the storage lockers. Keep in mind, 3 employees are standing outside talking and laughing the entire time, not one offering to help. Fuel level is less than 1/4 of a tank, not correct on the paper, as well as the mileage is off. Going back in to correct these errors, a different employee is now assisting me. I asked why we were assigned the truck buried in the back when multiple trucks are available easily accessible. He offered to come move the truck for us, but too late bc it has already been retrieved. His explaination was he doesn’t know, he didn’t do it, and the supervisor has already left. His way of fixing it was to credit the milage 5 miles upon return. Whoohoo!! Not! When the truck was returned, we were not credited the mileage bc that employee was not there and no notation was in the system. Extremely POOR customer service!
