Very disappointed in the app for self-checkin. Wasted a lot of time with that not working.
clean vehicles inside and out between rentals. bad odor inside and filthy inside and windshield.
Vehicle did not come with dolly which was not explained at time of rental and in was forced to purchase one from the Uhaul store because there were also none to rent out. In addition, the representative left me under the impression that I'd be charged only for the mileage and the insurance, but upon returning the vehicle, I was charged two for the mileage, insurance, and rental and the rep was rude and argumentative and charged me for two days. Even though I got the vehicle the day before at 10am and dropped the vehicle off the following day at 7pm and I was moving within the same city. I will never rent a vehicle from Uhaul again.

The representative who helped me hook up the trailer was very friendly and got my trip off to a great start. She was there when I unhooked too and had the same winning attitude. Moving is always stressful, it is nice when people do their best to make it a little easier. Thanks!
NO ONE INSIDE UHAUL LOCATION WORE MASKS. Please enforce stricter mask regulations. Would make the whole process a lot less stressful.
Neither employee wore a mask even when asked to do so and despite a city ordinance requiring them and despite extremely high COVID numbers.
Thanks for the truck on a short notice! It was great and the customer service was great on pickup and return.
Truck trailer lights did not work. Had to drive to Grove Road to pick up a different truck. Got to Grove Road, problem was a fuse, which was good since they did not have a 20' truck. I specifically asked the folks at Wade Hampton if they had a 20' truck available before we drove over there and they said yes. Total, drive from my house to home was 4 hours, should have been one. They lied to me, and weren't smart enough to replace a fuse, costing me hours of time that I needed to load. Since there is no place to rate U-Haul overall, I'll do it here. The reservation went smoothly, until I found out it is just a suggestion, and that they would confirm the day before. From there, it went pretty upside down. I got a text asking if I would like to upgrade for $50.00 less to a 20' or a 26'. I replied yes to a 20 foot, but no to a 26, just didn't want to drive a 26 thru the mountains pulling a car. I got a acknowledgement saying we were all set. I got a call the day before confirming a 26' at a location in Woodruff (I requested Simpsonville, literally 1 block from where I would be that morning). After the shock of a location change and upgrade to the truck I didn't want, I asked what I could do and was told that they had no other trucks and I would need to call U-Haul. 30 minutes on the phone when I kept refusing a 26 foot until she finally found a 20 foot at the Wade Hampton location. Change of plans, I was going to walk over to pick up my truck and drive it home, now my wife needed to follow me 30 minutes away. See above. I have learned in my life to never say never, but U-Haul will be the last company I call in the future. A reservation is a suggestion, bait and switch when it is too late to cancel and then HAVE to deal with their runaround is not acceptable.
Reserved cargo van (71 years female) and was given a 10 foot truck. The height of the truck made my move very difficult! Uhaul website said if you are not given what vehicle you order you get $50 refund. Dealer sent me to Customer svc sent me back to dealer. No refunding, I won't be giving up!!!! False advertising.

Store was not clean at all, NO ONE was wearing a mask (employees). I expect some pushback on masks but not even one person working there was in a mask. The signs saying masks are required are a joke. Floor and counters hadn't been cleaned for a long time. A truck pulled up under the awning from another customer, literally a uhaul employee walked out with a spray bottle for about 3 minutes to "sanitize" it and then we were told it was ready. The hood was never opened, there was no inspection, no oil check, no one else came out, nothing. If we missed all of that being done in another place on the site, I'd be surprised. It was the original renter who pulled it in. We were just told to bring it back with whatever gas level was in it. The truck had multiple warning lights come on and we could not wait to get it back to the store. It had zero shock absorption and a terrible rattle. We just finished our move and turned it in early. Whew. We've rented from you guys for years in many cities but this was terrible. IF we choose uhaul again we will use a different location. Hope these specifics help the store to improve. We were so relieved to end our rental period.
Great staff and very friendly. I was told they were the best in the city. Would definitely use them again and refer others to this location.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Equipment was in excellent condition and clean. Truck was ready to pick up when I arrived. Checkout was quick and efficient as I used the online system before arrival. I can't think of anything that can be improved upon at this location.
It was nice to be able to drop the truck close to our house. Spartanburg was not a good and safe facility for us to drop the truck off. Please read the comments on the Spartanburg facility.
