We rented a UHAUL from UHAUL.com on a Wednesday Feb 15th to be picked up on Saturday morning at 8am Feb 18 2017 at the Monterey Rd Gilroy Ca Location and when we got there the sweet woman, Monica behind the counter was stuck telling us that we could NOT take the truck because it was already rented out for a 4pm rental. She told us that the computer must have double booked the truck but we were there at 8am ready to move our stuff cross the valley. Not only was MONICA put in a situation she should NOT have been but we were now screwed. We spoke with her manger Terry who ultimately did the right thing and let us take the truck and had another truck sent over for the 4pm rental but ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED AND MONICA should not be left there to answer for the SNAFU in the computer system you have NOT WORKING for you. This needs to be taken care of and corrected, this added stress to an already stressful move (which all moves usually are) and to leave Monica or someone behind the Gas station counter to "clean up" the confusion is just not right! This was NOT Monicas fault and she should not have to be the smothover for UHAULS goofups! Please apologize to Monica and pleased take care of this situation because all of this stress was UNNECESSARY! I'm seriously thinking of switching to a different Truck rental service for our next weeks move because of this experience! Sincerely, Erin Gibson 408-848-1348

Was surprised that I had to go behind the counter and enter all the information for the lady, but that was ok with me, just unusual. The original person at the Murray Ave. in Gilroy really helped me the most, she was GREAT! She saved me from driving to each location and found me a trailer right away and set it all up.

When someone reserves a vehicle, make sire it is there when theytheybshow up. I had to drive fifty miles out of the way to rent a vehicle that was smaller than the one my company reserved. I will not use uhaul in the future.

This by far is the most creepy and unprofessional uhaul I've ever used. I've used the Uhaul service in Gilroy many times on Murray and unfortunately they didn't have a 15ft truck so they recommended me across town. I'm baffled by their ability to communicate contracts and or deliver on their word. They had said 8pm drop off was perfect in Spanish which is fine I can speak Spanish but maybe she didn't understand what she said because when I got there at 717 the lady that was there today said read your contract it's 24 hrs from pickup doesn't matter what she said yesterday. That might be true but if she doesn't understand the language she shouldn't be explaining things in english. I'm just very unsatisfied and when. I called 1800 number for their rudeness they were awesome but again lady that was there today didn't do anything the people on 1800 said and was rude and told me to read contract. If they weren't so distracted selling gas out of a dirty station surrounded by homeless people and cops telling them to leave they might care about running a proper business. I originally booked the truck reservation for a pick up in Marina CA where I needed it, 42 miles south of Gilroy. I picked it up in Gilroy because I was told the day before by phone that it would not be available in Marina. I was offered a $50 discount and 80 miles (84 miles to Gilroy and back). Then again later I was told that Gilroy did not have the truck I wanted. So I was given a larger truck (gas guzzler) that I did not want. By the time I got to Salinas CA, 57 miles later, I topped of the gas tanks with another 8 gallons of gas ($20). Obviously, the gas tank was not completely full when I picked it up in Gilroy. I found the whole experience with U-Haul very disappointing. I will avoid U-Haul in the future and let others know as well.

The original location I chose apparently didn't have the truck and I wasn't notified of a location transfer until I phoned in to double check everything. You guys added an additional 12 miles to my rental which cost me time and money. Aside from that the location was poorly managed as I had to wait as I was constantly interrupted by other guests trying to pay for gas. On top of that I was charged $10 for a $7 dolly. I am considering never using your service again. I typically rent a vehicle for productions and trade shows. This experience really put a bad taste in my mouth.

The haul lady was rude did not know too much and had me go behind the counterTo look up my own Reservation And Verify it We had no drop off Point And she needed to put one in When it was on the reservation I don't know what happened to that She charged me $10 for blankets And when I got to drop off the truck they wanted to know where the Dolly wasI explained to them she charged me $10 for blankets They explain to me That I was to be charged $10 for blankets and a dolly I told him I did not have a dolly nor was I given one I was overcharged it should have been 176 I got charged $196 I I had the worst experience with customer service Please call me with this matter at 209- 507-3446 Thank you very much

This is at a gas station and it took me an hour to pick up my truck when I had already reserved it because she kept waiting on customers for the station. This is just not acceptable! And I just received my receipt for the hand truck and this was rented June 30, 2015! The drop off location was great since we were able to do it at nite and called and all was fine.

Attendant was very helpful and friendly. She was by herself at a gas station and had a stream of customers to help while trying to help me. She handled it well and got me on my way. Someone had been sleeping in the back of the truck, I had to clean it out a bit before I took it.

When we first went in the girl told us that customer has not picked up truck an then she asked me to call customer I refused an she told us no trucks available but yet when we passed by there was still the same trucks parked in the yard as well as another facility same day reserved a truck on line already confirmed an then I get a call from owner of facility in Morgan hill an he says to me I'm sorry but we have no trucks available I said but just reserved one he once again I don't have any,you need to get your 800#s straitened out with local facialites

This location should hire more workers and train them properly. The wait to check out was long. The truck was usable but not in the best condition. The fuel level was low according to their contract when we got it and the back door latch was stuck under the roof of the cargo area so we had to force it loose in order to close it. Not my best Uhaul experience.

Long wait to turn in truck since there was only one person at the location and they were busy with service station customers. Person was terse and there was no place to wait while service station customers were being served
