This seems like a good location but when we returned our tow dolly on Saturday, August 17, the line was nearly to the door and there were only three employees working. The person at the front of the line had been waiting an hour and a half. The employees were very kind and were clearly working as fast as they could, but having only three employees at a large U-Haul store during move-in weekend in a college town seems like poor planning.

Cindy, the owner refused to call headquarters on her phone to get me started with my reimbursement for the tires I paid for. During the blow out event, I could not reach anyone - phone, chat, or email. After I was forced to take on my reimbursement, it took us several hours to get a chat link and get a resolution # (not resolved) for tracking. I cannot begin to state my disappointment for this rental experience and how committed to ensuring that I get paid back for the tires I installed for the safety of me and my family during travel. I tried using the Uhaul Truckshare app and pick it up from my storage unit where they had a location and reserved it about a month in advance. The confirmation email had the address of that storage unit so when I was about to check in for my truck, it says in the app that it was in another location 30 minutes away. I called customer service and they said I have to pick it up at the location. They also mentioned that someone called me that day but I never got a call. When I came to the new location, they were giving me attitude about the whole situation. I had to pay for an extra 20 miles because they changed the location without informing me.

Original location was overwhelmed with equipment and sent us to another location which also was overwhelmed. Wait time at both locations for assistance to drop off equipment was much too long and the personnel seemed harried.

When I attempted to leave the truck at the previously agreed upon location on University Avenue, I was told I had to take the truck to the 6th Street location due to a lack of space. This location was about 5 miles away. When I arrived there and complained to the desk personnel, I was told by the female employee that I should have been called, but it was not their fault. Horrible customer relations and I was delayed 40 minutes in assisting my children in moving into their apartment. Your employees need training in accepting responsibility to minimize customer dissatisfaction instead of making matters worse. Utterly unacceptable.

The management was very on organized for having been there 34 years as an employee. I had to wait just about two hours to rent a truck and car dolly. The Internet was down and she had told me it’s been going down lately so I figured they must have an alternative method to process my rental. Finally after waiting an hour and a half she told me she had a supervisor on her phone to process my credit card. In the meantime fortunately I had a business conference to attend and was able to do that on my phone so my time wasn’t wasted. Her attitude was silly and not very professional. Absolutely was the worst rental experience of my 66 years on this planet! I mean it this was the worst experience.

Lost hours waiting on phone. Finally went down there...twice. In person, they were fast and efficient even wit line of 15 to 20 people. However, they are definitely under staffed!

No drop off dealer was designated at the time I rented the trailer, and my impression was I could drop off the trailer at any dealer in Gainesville, FL. While in transit, U-Haul arranged for drop off at a specific dealer, but I didn't check the website. I ended up dropping the trailer off at a dealer who wasn't expecting it. They handled it fine but I didn't get any receipt for the equipment. I just got the receipt today via email. All in all this caused some concern and I'm sure it was inconvenient for the dealer and U-Haul. It really was mostly my mistake, but maybe texting or emailing me with the name of the dealer would have been a better way to handle it. All's well that ends well.

Total chaos. The manager here was very nice but extremely over worked and probably under paid. The lot was over crowded, traffic jams. I know it is student rush but have some contingency plans...it isn't like the timing is a surprise.

This location was GROSSLY understaffed for the size, amount of vehicles, and number of customers that are referred there by local facilities. I waited in line for nearly two hours just to turn a vehicle in. People in front of me waited in line for 3 hours. Totally unacceptable. Hire more people for this location, especially on weekends near the beginning and end of school.

Billed me for an extra eventhough I had pictures documenting it was returned the previous day at 6pm rather than after 11 am the next day. The person on the lot was rude and cursed. Guess they feel that as a college town that they can rip people off and do their returns whenever they feel like it rather than in the morning. Would strongly urge people to steer clear of this location whenever possible.

Arrived just as closing was told to use app. Which is fine then ask for guidance and how and where to do it where to place trailer and such was told sorry can’t help you go to website 4 or 5 employees there couldn’t take a min to help

The UF N. Main St. Gainesville location, where we were contracted to drop off the truck, was a madhouse. One employee was very upset and throwing things. It was a little frightening. The other employee had us wait on line for a LONG time only to tell us that we couldn’t leave the truck there, because they were full, and we’d have to go somewhere else. U-Haul has some serious scheduling problems. Then we drove to the second location, 4821 Northwest 6th St Gainesville, and waited on line for a LONG time, only to be told we’d have to go back outside and find one of the two guys who were doing returns. Found one, he said he’d be right back and then he disappeared and did not return. I went back inside and asked for help again, they radio’dfor another guy and finally I was able to spend the 3 minutes with him that it takes to process a return. Overall Return Experience gets a 0/10 from me.

The location was fine, we returned the vehicle after hours. The problem was that the dropoff location was changed when I arrived at the original drop-off location. The local attendant informed me of the change based on capacity but it was not made known to me until that time, which was frustrating due to the fact that I had been there earlier.
