Phone calls could be better. Wait time is very long and also for the location to be available to talk to customers
In general I am very dissatisfied with uhauls business practice of basically calling the day before my reservation and giving me a completely different truck and pick up location than I had reserved - because they overbook and have very limited supply. What is the point of a reservation then? How is this a fair or honest business practice?? An overall terrible experience.
Took way to long to get rental! Took why to long to find someone to hook up trailer! Took way to long to get hooked up! I thought by putting everything in computer it would speed things up. I had to go through all the stuff again. Biggest complaint. You person told me 24 hrs. I brought trailer back to lot after 7pm. Same day. Over $100 now. Double my fee now. For what??
I was told that the trailer would be cleaned and disinfected. However, it was very dirty and when asked they said they didn't have time. I would assume U-Haul would prioritize the safety of their customers and the employees.
The line moved well and my online check in expidited my pick up. Over all very pleased.

With the civic-19 pandemic, the inside of the passenger part of the cargo van was dirty. Not vacuumed, storing wheel left Clorox black, gear knobs, and door knobs were dirty. Just an FYI. As we are all trying to stay healthy during these hard times. Thanks
Workers/Staff were busy, but extremely cordial, polite and helpful.
They didn't mention anything about the â€œafter service feeâ€ and I was charged an additional $20 for turning it in before my 24 hour use of the trailer was up.

Take to long checking trucks or trailers out,must figure faster way
Had some problems booked online for a madera pick up location and ended up being called and they told me they had none in madera I'd have to pick up on blythe 30 mins prior to me picking it up I called them let them know I was running late but no one told me my location for pick up had been changed that morning so I arrived to the Blythe location for nothing and had to drive to another location for pick up
Charged me unneccessary charges
The truck was missing the passenger side front turn signal and the low beam headlight wasn't working. It was extremely obvious that this vehicle hadn't been inspected or maintained properly for a long time, even the brakes were spongy and occasionally a warning light would turn on stating that the brakes needed serving. The inside of the vehicle wasn't any better as I literally needed to clean the inside and outside of the truck to drive into the sun. I would never do business with uhaul or let anyone else use this company without a serious warning about how unprofessional and poorly maintained the equipment is. I drove 4 hours through a dark canyon road with deere all over with one headlight!
We rented a truck and a 6 x 12 trailer on 7/1/20 separately to start with but they put it all on one ticket. The website said this was a good size trailer for atv, utv and snowmobiles. We were going to pick up the UTV we had purchased over the weekend. I based my rental on size advertised on web and saying it would work for UTV. The gate/ramp covered the back of trailer. I told the person who was on the desk that we were picking up a UTV and that I chose the trailer because the UTV was 63" x 120". We hooked up and left @ 6 pm. The truck was just short of 3/4's of a tank & had dirt on the floor. We took the rig home so as to get an early start for Atascadero dealer. We got there just after 9 am, paid and pulled around to load it. We were watching the gentleman bring it over as we let down the gate. As he swung around with our UTV, I looked back and saw that unlike all other trailers that I have owned and rented with ramps that the bracing was on the inside. The man getting the UTV slowed to minimal speed and took it up the ramp to edge of trailer where the bracing made the trailer entrance smaller than the ramp and interior width of trailer. We were unable to load it that way. The gentlemen who was driving and is owner of the tractor/UTV business was as surprised by the build of the trailer as we were. He like us had never seen a trailer with a ramp built like that. All three of us have hauled a lot of trailers as we are all senior citizens. We then spent the next 3 hrs. trying to get in touch with Uhaul to see if a larger trailer was near by that would work. We had talked to a local dealer who told us the only thing that would work would be the automobile trailer. and to call regional. She provided the wrong number for it. And during the 3 hrs. we were put on long holds and hung up on several times. We had started for Fresno when I finally talked to the Regional person and she said no auto trailers were available til the end of the week and we would have to take it back to Fresno. So now we had gone over 300 miles for nothing except to make Uhaul richer. When we got back to Fresno @ 3 pm, they insisted to turn the trailer in that we must also turn the truck in because they were on the same ticket. We still needed the truck as our own truck was in the shop. We had rented the trailer because of the size and wording on the net about UTV's,( I felt it would be easier for my disabled husband to not have to unload our trailer which was waiting for our truck to take it to unload it. We also could not unload it because the man we hired to help unload it had been hurt. Our son then was forced to start working later so he could unload it.) We had to take our ramps then with our trailer to go back to Atascadero the next day. So because of the trailer being built incorrectly and the person on the desk the first day telling us it would not fit the trailer, We had two days rental on the truck and double the miles we should have
That busy maybe three clerks to handle
Sometimes the location can appear to be under staffed, but all in all the team works together and get the job done. Maybe access the busy time of the day/week and have the staff on hand for those busy times??
I had to rent a trailer on a moment's notice and was able to get a reservation immediately and drive straight down and get a trailer. Also I needed a drop receiver and ball which they had in stock and put together for me. I was able to go in and out and it was very convenient.
Delay in getting 1st truck: they couldn't find keys. Also,1st truck assigned failed my pre-trip inspection: metal bolt in right outside drive axle tire, this location had no tire-man on duty to change at 5:15 PM (I was told tire-man leaves at 3:30 PM). Delay in finding a second truck for me to use; I was late to begin loading at move-out location: I had workers waiting for me to arrive. I filed complaint thru 800 phone number with Nathan, Jax, FL. I got response from my local branch mgr. who only granted me a $20.00 credit ; this is not enough to compensate for the delays and inconvenience. I refueled thru more than fuel level given. I request a credit card refund credit for cost of fuel= $30.02, if you wish to retain me as a future customer. Please advise.
The Fresno U-haul location is the slowest ans most incompetent location I have ever visited. The clerks respond to you with irony and do a terrible job. Worst customer experience ever. It's almost lke they are doing you a favor for renting a U-haul. And then of course, when I had to return it, they told me to be there next day at 7am and that's what I did, however, they made me wait 40 minutes to return it and then it turned out that the number they assigned me was wrong in the system and the lady couldn't find it on the system, so I had to go inside and wait even longer. The clerks just disappear whenever they feel like it.
The woman who approached me at the truck was not wearing a mask or practicing social distancing. I had to rush back to the cab of the truck to put my mask back on.
