My third time to rent. Great place.

The man who helped us initially, was quite helpful, even allowing us to change our dropoff location. He said it would be about $50 for a one-way rental, then had another man complete the one-way rental, as he went outside to help attach the trailer. The other man then quoted the rental at $90 and eventually negotiated the rental to $55. After completing the rental, I went outside and the man who helped attach the trailer said I have to pay another $10 for the light connection. When I went inside, the man who completed the rental said the cost is $15, not $10. There seem to be many price discrepancies that I did not understand. It would have been a better experience if ALL potential charges/prices were disclosed prior to the rental process. Additionally, during the rental process, I inquired about where I needed to drop off the trailer and was told that I could do so at any uhaul in the Rockville/Gaithersburg area. After I unhitched the trailer at a BP at 16210 Frederick Rd, I went inside to verify closing the rental and was told I cannot leave it there, I have to find another location. The employee was of no assistance, saying he cannot lookup locations and I should call the 800#. After being on the phone for over 30 minutes, Kayla Dixon, who was very helpful, found a nearby location for the dropoff. So I had to reattach the trailer and complete the whole process again at another location. The whole ordeal was painstakingly time-consuming, much more than anticipated, due to erroneous information during checkout. Though some staff were helpful, others were not, even giving false information. This is my second consecutive bad experience with uhaul.

I was very satisfied with the service at Triangle Motors but very unsatisfied with the overall service from uhaul. I reserved my rental online for the Tollhouse location and received email verification. When I arrived to pick it up on 11/17 I was told that they did not have my reservation. I called uhaul and was given the new location. The service center reported that i received a phone call on 11/14 stating this change. I did not receive that call or email notification about the change. This was inconvenient for our moving plans and resulted in last minute scramble to make things work out. My rating for the reservation process is poor.

We had reservation, I was told the one we supposed to get is not gonna be back on time, we we’re sent to a different location, we got there and we were told that the trailer needs to be back at 3pm, there’s a reason why I reserved for 24hrs, and that I don’t want to stress and pressured by time, and that if we are able to finished late, that I have option to return it even just a couple of hours, so we were told that they will send us to a different location, my husband told them to search another location, instead of us running around like chicken, and so they did and was told it was hard to find one. In short we were forced to return the trailer under 24hrs, coz the associate said it was also reserved for the next person. I’ve been using U-Haul for few years, as a matter of fact I just left a very positive review last few days and then this happened, it was very stressful for us to rush things and drive a bit faster so we can return the equipment as told, I could also do what the other person did, the reason why we can’t get the one we originally supposed to pick up, by not returning it on time, but of course I don’t want to leave the other renters up in the air, coz U-Haul messed up. Over all everything from positive to negative. Very very stressed and unhappy for all these.

I did the online rental process which was a little perplexing at first. Though I choose Triangle as the location to pickup the rental it seemed at first it was being set for another location across town but I continued through and in the end it was set for the location I choose. Picking up the truck went smooth the rental person was friendly and had everything ready handed me the keys and I was gone. The truck was clean, ran well and worked perfectly for what I needed it for. Dropping off the truck was real quick just handed him the keys and that was it they email the bill later.

I booked my reservation at Tengas Auto Repair but without notifying me, my reservation was transferred to a different location—Triangle Motors. The automated email that came through said nothing about a location "CHANGE", only a confirmation of the reservation with the address of the pick up at the bottom. I had no reason to look at the address since I have picked up several times before at my intended location. A phone call should have been made to notify me of the pick up location change.
