I went to pick up the trailer on Friday night and they had trouble getting the brake lights/blinkers to work. After a very long time they told me I was good to go, but when I got home I found out that the brake lights still weren't working, which I was very concerned about because that is a huge safety risk and I was going to be driving about 800 miles with it. I'm also upset that they said I was fine to go when they knew my brake lights didn't work. I also noticed when I got home from picking it up that the chain connecting it to my car was dragging on the ground. When I took it back to get the lights working and the chain fixed the following morning, they seemed to be concerned as well that the other employees would send me off like that. The guy fixing it Saturday morning took a picture and said that he would speak to the people who hooked it up previously. He also noticed that the wiring that they (that location) had set up earlier that week was wrong and that is why the brake lights didn't work. He fixed the wiring, but told me that the fuse was blowing each time I turned my car on, so they would stop working each time I turned my car off. So, he handed a handful of fuses and sent me on my trip. Halfway through the first day of driving, the lights stopped working even with changing the fuse. When I returned the trailer, I asked them to check out why and they said that they found a wire wrapped around a part of the car that spins, so it was eating away at the wire. Finally, I had originally reserved a 5x8 trailer, but realized before I picked it up that I could fit everything in a 4x8. The girl at the computer said that she could switch it over but it's pretty complicated. I said that I was willing to wait for that process so I could just have a 4x8. After a while she asked another employee to help her figure out how to do the switch in the program and they said that they got it switched and I would only be charged for the 4x8. On Saturday when I got it fixed, I asked them again to make sure that they had switched my reservation and I would be charged for the 4x8 only. When I returned the trailer, I decided to ask yet again since everything else had gone wrong with the pick-up. They checked and the system still said that I had a 5x8 and I would be charged for it. This location was very incompetent and unprofessional and most importantly not concerned about my safety. I'm so glad nothing happened while I was driving, but I am very upset with all of the issues that were not taken care of because everything was preventable if they would've done their job.

Ridiculously complicated new procedures for renting. Took me 30 minutes just to check out. Rented many times here but never had that much trouble. Thought they were going to ask for a blood sample.

I walked into the place at 9am. The whole procedure lasted almost an hour. It was like an FBI interrogation room. They took pictures of my driver's license, insurance card, called my friend, asking him questions too. Where I am going, who I am going with. They insulted my old truck too. The trailer was dirty inside. I will never rent anything from those people again.

The pin hold the right ramp in place was missing. The ramp came out in Loveland, luckily I was able to secure it and continue to pick up a car.

I do not like the fact that the trucks aren’t gassed up and ready to go. EVERY time I rent a UHaul truck I have to stop and fill up for my journey. Try and think of the customer!

Bri was incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though there was a problem with someone not returning the tow dolly we needed, she easily and quickly upgraded without any hassle to get us on our way. We greatly appreciated all that she did.

You need to fix your customer website, as what is charged at the location is not what is signed up for on the U-Haul website. 1) On the customer website to book truck, insurance for $10 is an option. I did not want it (my insurance covers rentals) but the location absolutely required it. 2) Customer website did not include taxes or another miscellaneous fee ($2 Colorado State Road Safety Tax). 3) Website equipment page has Dolly default checked - it should be unchecked like everything else on the page. 4) When Calculate switches you to a cheaper plan for extended miles, it should then bring up the dialog that explains it automatically, not rely on you to know it applied a different fee structure and for you and for you to find the little link below the Calculate button. The dialog itself is good. Even the store people didn't know how to explain what happened.

Don't lie to them about your deposit and tell them they can get them back when they can't after doing everything that was in the contract explain the contract better and show people what your actually charging them for

I went in to this location and reserved a 20 foot truck to be picked up at 7:00 a.m.. Got the reservation and it said they reserved a 17 foot truck. I called and they said they did not have a 20 foot truck, so I changed the reservation to a 26 foot truck. Went to pick it up at 7:00 a.m. and the location was closed until 9:00. I went in at 9:00 and they told me they had a 17 foot truck for me. I asked for a 26 foot truck. They found one with 153,000 miles that shook badly whenever you went between 45 and 55 miles per hour. I had to reschedule all the uhaul movers. At 3:00 pm they called me and told me I was late and they would charge me a late fee. I spent a week discussing this with every uhaul person I could find from customer service to billing to the location management. No one could tell why I had the extra charges or if they had removed them.

I did not like the check-in process at this location. The individual who assisted me required not only my cellphone number (which he called on the spot in order to verify), but required an alternate phone number which he called until someone answered. I obviously was not at my alternate location, and therefore could not answer the second phone call. As a result, the representative required me to go through my personal contacts and called several of them until someone was available to answer the call. I found this to be very intrusive and unnecessary, especially since I had already made a reservation online, complete with contact information and payment information. Following this, the representative asked for my drivers license and took a photo of it with his personal cell phone. He explained that it was required for my reservation, and that the photo would not store on his personal device, but I was very uncomfortable with this. If I didn't need to have the moving vehicle that particular day, I would've walked out the door.

I've rented a few times, same thing. 5/8 tank of gas they say. I show them it's really barely over half. Oh, but that can't say half as the nester is over half, but barely. I drive the pick up 7 miles. It's under half. If the yruck gets, let's say 10 miles yo the gallon, I put extra fuel in, 2 gallons, still looks like half. Do the math. I used under a gallon of gas, replaced that gallon and put in an extra gallon, just watch. They will charge me again for gas. Why don't you fill the tank to full? 7 miles won't even move the meter then because the gas meter isn't very accurate when it is a bit above half. I think it's un ethical to try to nail people for gas when its a trickey meter reading, not true integrity business.

It may be the fault of corporate and not the locations, but there is very poor communication. I would not recommend using U-Haul for last minute needs. You talk to someone not at the location, they do not know what exists. It was a huge hassle. (The individuals were friendly at this location, but did not put a hitch on although we were renting to pull a trailer from another location)

Be honest with price quotes i ended up paying 270 dollars for a truck that was just suppressed to be 29.99 a day plus.99 a mile we put on 79 miles and my rental cost should have been 120. The lady who booked our reservation asked us if we wanted 8 hours we thought we would need more time so she gave us 24 hours but did not explain that would be an additional 59.00. So not happy

Not friendly or helpful. Charged high rates for a trailer. We also called in advance to let them know we'd be an hour late with the trailer because we were still unloading and they charged an extra day ($32.00) for being late. That is poor customer service especially for loyal uhaul customers. Not a good experience
