U-Haul should be thankful they have an employee like Miguel at this location.This was my first experience here, and it seemed like they were understaffed, along with a long line of angry customers, and at first I thought I was going to have a terrible experience. But Miguel was a one man show, and handled everything as best as possible. He was the cashier, customer service guy, propane guy, forklift operator to get my u-boxes, and just about every other job (while under pressure) at this location. It's hard to recommend this place to a friend because it seems very hectic and understaffed, but I'm just glad I came on a day that Miguel was working because if not, this place might be a disaster. Don't know what he gets paid, but I'm sure it's not enough.

My truck reservation was guaranteed and I got there and nope it wasn't there so I left this location with no moving truck
When returning the vehicle less time waiting for service personnel to come to check the return of the vehicle.
The windshields interior and exterior were dirty/hazy and hard to see through with the suns glare. Most importantly I received the truck with slightly less than a quarter of a tank of fuel. Unacceptable when the first thing I have to do if fuel up before my 130 mile round trip. All trucks should be fueled and full prior to pickup and required to be filled full at return by renter.
Customer service was subpar to say the least. Truck had low tire pressure, one headlight was out and the second was flickering. At one point while waiting to get the truck all customer service reps left the floor without even addressing those of us waiting. 10-15 minutes later, a mechanic came out to assist. Completely lacking in customer service and unprofessional. Listened to one rep belittle a customer ahead of us. Ridiculous! I will try my hardest to never go to this uhaul again!
I went in to get my auto transport I rented three weeks prior and that I had confirmed two days prior. I get there and the line is long. No worries I'll wait. With four people in line the girl at the desk stands up and radios to someone to come get the line and looks to the guy beside her and says â€œI'm clocking outâ€ and just leaves. With four people in line. Then we had to wait for another person to come help us as the other worker had to help his customer get a truck. I finally get helped and am told my auto transport isn't there. I said just give me the tow dolly. He runs it through and I proceed with payment. I had already rented a truck earlier that day for around 1800 so my card had unbeknownst to me exceeded the daily limit. So the payment didn't go through and he simply looks at me and says â€œit declined sorry broâ€. He didn't help me and ask if I had any other forms of payment and what the charges would be for those payments. I simply left to the bank and pulled out 400. I get back woth cash and said here I'll pay with cash. He then tells me, after I already went to the bank, that cash entails a $100 deposit. Frustrated I left and went to the bank again and came back. Luckily the guy who helped me was gone and Alex helped me get everything figured out. Was very displeased with customer service at this location and will never come back to the Fontana Uhaul.

I left and when I got to my destination there was a lock so I had to go back. Always a long wait!
We have gone to this location several times to rent a UHaul truck and have been generally pleased with the service. However, this last time, we were assisted by Miguel Rios and experienced possibly the best customer service of all time. We needed to rent a truck to help our son relocate to another state and Miguel was so professional and patiently answered all of our questions. He made what could have been an overwhelming experience a relaxing one. We were so impressed with Miguel and we recommend anyone needing to rent a UHaul to go to the Fontana location and ask for Miguel Rios. He is the real deal!
We did not have a good experience. There was one lady running the front desk. She had a younger girl there assisting her that looked about 14 years old. We came in to check in and so we did. The clerk told us to come back inside in case there was a pad lock on the trailer (which there was!). Mind you, this is supposed to be a mobile pick up which to me defeated the whole purpose! Then we go back inside where the line was crazy long at this point and told the clerk that there is a pad lock. She sends the little girl out with a huge set of keys and the whole time the little girl was on the phone talking while going slow and being nervous about which key it was. Finally after a half an hour waiting there they decide that because they could not find the key to the pad lock they had to switch us trucks! But at this point, we are running out of daylight, time and not meeting our promised deadline. So then now the gas and the mileage will not be exact or correct because nothing was documented! I don't want to be charged for extra mileage or the gas!
I had to drive 27 min out to this place because I didn't receive my reservation that I placed 2 weeks prior. Just have had bad customer service the last 2 times.
Staff always friendly and helpful
It was very convenient to choose my pick up time , as early as I needed. Would recommend and use again.

Everybody was very rude except the cashier
I am NOT complaining on this specific location(Fontana). I reserve my 20 moving truck at alabama st in Redlands they couldn't get me the truck I need so I was sent to Pomona to pick up a new truck. As soon as I got there I was told the truck isn't available. Then eventually was sent to Fontana to get the truck. I left at 8 am and got home after 11 am with a truck. No compensation to the lyft rides I spent going to and from different uhaul locations. I will not be doing any business with uhaul from now on.
Employees need to WEAR MASKS and stop taking personal calls and help the customers. Very unprofessional atmosphere.
I'm sorry this my second time here I was dreading on coming back here this the only location close to me. The customer service just sucks. No explanation or information giving to us they are such in a hurry to get us out to help the next customer. I rent trailer the number of the trailer didn't match on the contract the guy who attended us didn't say a word. Good thing I double check everything before leaving I went back inside to tell him that he was like" yeah we send you a new contract later with the right information". I'm glad I took pictures all around just in case.
Credit for gas if did not receive in full but return In full tank..

I went in to reserve in one place. 2 days b4 pick up, I was asked to pick up somewhere else. The day of the pick up, they wanted me to pick up 1 to 2 hrs away. It was awful. I had to pick up 30 min away, finally, and a smaller truck without lift or equip. To move stuff.
My truck was very Dusty inside. I couldn't put the seat up. I told the manager and she was very rude about it. I had to go back home and get a pillow to sit on or I could drive the truck better.... I always rent from you guys and never had this bad experience before.....
Even though we had to go to Fontana from Redlands to pick up the truck, they made it very smooth and quick.
