This location can improve on customer service. When I arrived to pick up my truck, there were three employees sitting at three desks and only one desk had a customer. The other two employees were sitting at their computers and I was standing there waiting for one of them to let me know that they can help me. I know they were doing other tasks on their computers, but none of the three employees greeted me after a solid minute of me standing there. After that minute elapsed, I approached one of the two employees who did not have a customer at their desk and asked if she was available to help me. She said yes, she can help me. I was somewhat taken aback at that moment that she never greeted me in the 60 seconds I was standing there. Upon my truck return, I pulled into the designated truck return area that has a large sign specifically stating that I am to wait in the truck, and someone will be out to help me process my return. I sat there for five minutes waiting and again decided to seek out an employee. When I turned the corner to the front of the building, two employees were standing there talking. I couldn't understand why neither of them had offered any assistance to me. I made an assumption that they were both busy, since they were engrossed in conversation and did not offer me any assistance when I arrived, nor when I walked by them and entered the building. One of them entered the building. I told him that I was waiting for five minutes out by the sign that says to wait. He told me that they didn't hear me drive up. Is that really how returning a truck at this facility works? A UHaul employee has to HEAR me drive in? Maybe I should have honked. The employee then told me that the person outside would be helping me with my return. I walked back outside to the truck and the employee who processed my return did not greet me or mention the delay at all. This person simply processed my return. I really do not need a big friendly smile, champagne, or fresh flowers at UHaul. I did get the truck I needed when I needed it. I am however finely attuned to customer service and the difference small polite gestures can make. A simple "hello, we'll be with you in a minute" when I arrived would have gone a long way. A "be right with you" when I returned the truck would have been wonderful too.

I had an issue with the gas tank valve. I was supposed to return it between 5/8 and 3/4. I put in a few gallons, and it stayed at 5/8. Again, I putted in a few more gallons of gas and it stayed at 5/8. Finally, i put in a few gallons of gas and then it shot up to full. I ended spending $25 in gas for driving 13 miles. I am very displeased with this. As a returning customer, i would like to be reimbursed the $20 in extra gas that i put in due to the faulty gas tank valve. Call me eith questions. 773-351-6446.
